I think its possible he was shot down...

If you watch the witness videos closely, one shows a small explosion/burst of flames near the body of the plane before it crashed (with a fighter jet in close proximity).

If it was shot down I think it was justified. I feel for the guy but he could have killed a lot of people.

Not completely up to speed on Seattle news these days, but someone said Pearl Jam was playing at the CLink and Mariners at Safeco. Meanwhile this guy is talking about how much fuel he has left. Sorry but that's totally justified.

Not stealth in the terms we’ve come to define it since the F-117, but definitely stealthy due to shape and the “iron ball” paint used on the airframe.

Definitely a shame they were retired. Makes you wonder what sort of stuff the US is flying today that hasn’t been made public. I believe Lockheed Skunk Works actually acknowledged at one point they were working on an SR-72, but I’ve got no idea what the status of that project is.

I wonder what all of your reactions would be if the was Muslim, black, Hispanic, African, etc.; anything other than white. bc this guy is getting props for stealing a fking plane and having military jets scrambled to take him down.
this literally the meaning of white privilege. not a single response in here is really negative against what he did, or against Caucasians as a whole. and the guy is immediately mentally unstable, lone wolf, etc. if he was Muslim people would have filled this post with vile statements about Islam as a whole.

I think if it went down the exact same way no matter what the race everyone would have reacted the same way.

Sorry I was editing my post.

I think since he didn’t kill anyone but himself people feel it wasn’t that big of a deal.

Again if it went down the exact same way no matter what race people would be saying the same thing. If the communication from pilot to ground was the exact same.

If this white guy would have been saying fuck everyone I am going to kill people he would have been taken down instantly and no one would be saying good job.

How would the outcome be different? He crashed and died. Or was taken down.

But again if the communication was exactly the same I don’t think so.

The guy wasn’t hostile while communicating with them and if he was he would have been taken down first thing. The last thing they would have wanted to do was sit there and tell the guy he better land or he will be shot down. He could have done something even more stupid then he already was doing.

Besides the guy dying everything played out how it should have.

As with any situation there will always be should of, could of and would of being said.

What different response would you expect. No one has approved of what he did and people commented that if he was shot down, then it was justified. Where do you see this guy being praised and where was he given different treatment than you might have expected because he was a white male?

It’s easy to bring race into anything if you want to... I never saw what race this person was. All I saw was that this guy never stated any terrorist actions so assumed it was just suicidal, like the article stated.
