gross shit. i don't eat much sugar in the first place, but i put a couple splenda in a cup of coffee the other day for the first time and nearly threw up it was so disgusting. imitators are never better than the original, with anything.

While this isn't the purpose of the thread .. I prefer Splenda over sugar. Splenda in coffee and over strawberries is the sheit. Normal sugar is bleh.

Nope .. if it was proven, it'd be off the market. If you do research, you will find all kinds of sites saying "SHOCKING STUDY!!!! SHOCKING INFORMATION ABOUT HOW SPLENDA IS POTENTIALLY BAD FOR YOU".

I don't care which is worse or me. Sugar tastes better IMO so I use it.

To be honest, I don't plan on living long enough to see the effects of either play out on my body...

anyone heard of stevia? might be a good alternative to look into... coca cola and pepsi are planning on implementing it into their diet sodas in lieu of aspartame.

Yeah, I mentioned it on the previous page. Stevia is an herb and has been used in Paraguay and Japan for a long time.

You need VERY little of it. The herb is much sweeter than sugar. Comes in powder and droplet form.

you know what i don't get ? they say "its made from SUGAR, it tastes like sugar, but its NOT sugar" if its MADE from sugar how is it not sugar ? like some part of it has to be right ?

For what its worth I had a professor who was a registered Professional Engineer in Chemical Engineering. She told me to stay away from all artificial sweeteners. I would rather run a bit more at the gym then risk side effects.
