Just three more weeks (hopefully) of having to use the crutches.
Awesome ! Roy that sounds and looks (from your pic) really good
Of course with a regenerative knee surgery patience is always required .

Exactly ...My dog did this too , I heard some dogs can feel our pain and it's for sure dogs are man's best friend ..
What kind of dog do you have ?

(off topic) Here is/was my *Dina* , she was a *Black Riesenschnauzer*
May she RIP. Ohh..Man I still miss her every single day !

Yes Frankie looks beautiful and full of proud , and I love dogs ! (would love if I could touch her)
German shepherd's are really intelligent .Now that you need to rest with your knee I'm pretty sure you have excellent company with Frankie
Advice : Don't feed Frankie too much (don't make her too fat) because in general shepherd's suffer young from *Hip dysplasia*
But like she is in the pic , she looks perfect !

Thanks for sharing , awesome !

No worries Philippe.
Yes when we first got him back in March he had a slight limp & the vet mentioned hip dysplasia, since then we changed his diet as he'd been fed on canned dog food. We now feed him raw chicken or beef with mixer biscuits, fruit or veg & his limp now has gone.

I started a my puppy thread when I got him, he's also the reason I am selling the e92 35i

I know .I'm sure you take good care of Frankie , sounds good Roy

Yeah in the E92 you have probably lack of space for her .
Think Frankie would love an X3 ? X5 ?

Physio to day & all went well. Range of movement is greatly improved, just have to keep up with the exercises three times a day.
Next appointment is the 16th august after which I should be able to do without the crutches & start full weight bearing, at this point I will have a better idea of how successful the op has been once I am able to walk unassisted.

I started walking (assisted by my crutches) using my whole foot rather than just toes this week. This caused quite a lot of pain, grinding & locking of my knee but I've persevered & the pain has stopped today although there is still some clicking going on when I bend my knee

I tore my ACL almost three years ago and it went from serious clicking/grinding noises to now only if I do really abnormal things then it clicks but doesn't seem to matter (recently ran a half marathon). I wouldn't worry about at this point as the time period is really short.

I visited my knee specialist yesterday, he's happy with my progress & I am now cleared to drive & am walking using only the one crutch, I've been told a couple more weeks with a little walking each day until I'm able to walk unassisted & hopefully I will be able to return to work in another 4 weeks or so.

Physio wise I now have some additional excersises to add to my daily routine.

The cartilage could take up to 18 months to fully regrow, so it will be a slow process but one I would highly recommend. I have pretty much full pain free movement now & need to work on walking correctly as I am still compensating by taking most of the load with my left leg.

I was given these pics of the inside of my knee, images 1-4 show the tears & lesions in the meniscus. 5 shows the area cleaned up & the holes that were drilled for the stem cell solution & 6 is the area once the solution was applied

I'm hopping so, there's a long list of jobs that need doing in my house, so I'll work through those over the next couple of weeks & see how I get on. I have been offered a project manager job with a local building firm but the money is around a 1/4 of what I normally earn a week but I would have a company van, 21 days paid holiday + bank holidays.

I would say...Take it easy ,take your time and don't force anything .
From your comment your right knee sounds better . I got another injection (Euflexxa) in my left knee and for the moment it feels a little better .
But I realize it's only for 4-5 weeks , and then the whole shit starts again .

Have been in a lot of pain this last 10 days or so, if I stand for more than an hour or so my knee swells up & movement becomes difficult, hamstrings are also very tight despite my increased exercise routine. I am also having physio two evenings a week & had my hamstrings massaged Thursday evening, that was very painful & I now have a fair amount of bruising to the back of my leg. I'm also doing 20/30 minutes on the exercise bike each day.
Unfortunately I haven't been able to return to work yet, which is boring & frustrating as well as now causing serious financial concern as I haven't earnt any money this year & my 'pot of cash' is almost depleated.
I'm still working on being able to fully straighten my leg, which I suspect is being hampered by the tightness in my hamstrings.

2-4 iu Somatropin HGH injected subcutaneous per day, post surgery, ( .04 - .06mg/kg/week)

I split the dosage 12 hours apart to maintain stable levels. I ended the treatment after 1 year.
The problem with some joint issues is the lack of blood flow into a "closed system" means that hgh doesn't really help the way it would with other tissues

I took 5iu serostim a day for a few months while recovering from my last shoulder surgery and objectively it didnt speed healing because of the lack of labrum blood flow

Its amazing otherwise and if not for our wonderful government it could be available for everyone over 35, and priced the same as bovine growth hormone (cents per iu)

Quick up date for any of you that are interested. Knee feels pretty good now, I still can't fully straighten my leg & walking for more than 30 mins causes some pain. I saw a knee guy beginning of last month that looks after knee injuries for a local football team, or soccer team for all you colonials & he gave me completely different advice than my 25 year old physio guy. I was told to ease up on most of the exercises I had been told to do, walk less & to use the exercise bike with the resistance turned right down 4 times a day for 10 minutes at a time, seems to be working out well.

I am still unable to work as a carpenter but I now have a job as a pm for a small construction company & I hate it, guess I'm used to being my own man, now I'm just another drone

Well it's been a couple of months since I last made a post & for those of you that are interested the knees feeling fairly good. The constant pain seems like a distant memory & I can walk around for a couple of hours or so before a little discomfort sets in.
I am still unable to fully straighten my knee & I suspect being sat at a desk all day, apart from when I'm allowed an hour or so on site in my job as an estimator/surveyor/site manager doesn't help, although the MD did buy me a heated massaging leather chair, which is rather nice.
