I wear puma kart shoes. The two biggest differences are the thickness of the sole for pedal feel and width of the shoe for heel/toe.

94% of all Pumas suck. the other 6% ROCKS. thats why everyone wears pretty much only 3 types of Pumas. the rest are sitting at the shelves in the Puma store. seriously , and i own 2 pairs of Pumas. for driving i like to wear Geox or Ecco's you get excellent feel, and my foot never slipped once. EXCELLENT grip. if its not dress/causual shoes, id say Timberland makes nice shoe/boots for Winter and you still get an awesome grip. Nike Shox. ahh. not too bad.

I agree actually. Speed Cat, Future Cat and Kart Cat II are all kickass and I own at least a half dozen of them, the rest are nothing special.
