Far worse than that. None of their cars are selling apart from the F-Pace and that isn't doing that well in comparison.

Unhappy with BMW birthday gift, 22-year-old pushes car into river

A 22-year-old man from India who received a brand new BMW as a birthday gift pushed the car into a river – because he wanted a Jaguar instead. His parents decided not to press charges, and said that they believe their son has mental health issues.

Fortunately, fortunately …. it was a 3 series. A serious case of affluenza.

Let's start with the obvious, spoiled rotten will never make it on his own. Probably will end up working for his dad, or whoever gave him the birthday gift. If I was worth a billion dollars I would not give my 22 year old a birthday present like that, I don't understand people that do. I believe a Honda Accord has plenty of room, very reliable, and always on car and drivers list of top ten vehicles.

There is so much butthurt in this thread it's unbelievable. I mean, I don't think pushing the car into the river is a wise choice for multiple reasons, but the guy having done so is amusing, not upsetting.

Being an Indian myself it's just an embarrassment to see this. I wished my parents would have bought me a car. My dad is in his 60s & still works 12-14 hrs a day & taught me the same thing. This man needs to know the Value of Money. SMH

It's a 320d Luxury Line, costs about 48L INR or about 67K USD on road here, in India.

The next time my kids complain about the brand of butter I buy, I may push THEM in the river. If there were rivers where I live.

Pricing them more competitively would help. A lot!! Land Rovers are way overpriced as are Jags. As I see it with the QC issues which I'll admit have improved, you'd need a very compelling reason to buy one over a German mark. And simply being different isn't good enough. That said the Range Rover is a very special vehicle it really is in a class all on its own. But now that the new G wagon and and Bentayga along with the Urus are here, rich people have other options.
