Elements necessary for a great movie.

Hot Women (Duh!)
Guns. Lot and lots of guns. (This includes blasters, lasers, pistols, DEWs, etc.)
Hot Women using guns.
Air Superiority Fighters.
Hot Women flying Air Superiority Fighters
Submarines.
Hot Women in subs
Aircraft Carrier. (Having the entire carrier battle group is a major bonus.)
Hot Women located throughout the carrier.
Swords and Knives.
Hot women carrying swords and knives but NOT amputating anything, shoei
Spaceships.
Hot Alien Women in spaceships.

Last and most important, FAST CARS.

I think that captured it all. Please add anything that I may have left out.

Goodfellas - no hot women, fast or nice cars, swords, alien chicks, etc etc... None of the guns were cool... No aircraft carriers or submarines either...

Shawshank Redemption - no hot women, fast or nice cars, alien chicks, etc etc... Please don't include the scene with the poster on the wall, doesn't count... Nor can you count guns as that pea shooter used to kill the old man from Babe...

None of them silent films or radio tv shows you and ASB grew up listening to contained any of those things...

Why? It was pure badassery, and Keanu actually played the role well IMO. There are 3 movies that allow me to pardon Keanu's acting: John Wick, Street Kings, and Point Break.

Well, the guys here seem to be Keanu fans, but he is widely mocked for being a bad actor too. And the plot was really lame. BUT, I still liked it. I love Keanu and think he's a good actor. I don't agree, but I sort of do at the same time. See both of these actors need roles that fit their specific abilities to act (READ: LIMITED), as if they were written ONLY for them. You do that and they make awesome movies. John Wick feels like a movie that was, specifically, written for Reeves and it was fucking spectacular.

He's himself and yes he's not a great actor but he is good. The thing that is great is that he's really good in this role. Not a fanboy of him, but I did like this movie.
