Played more ffa last night. Really getting into it. The maps are very good so far, and there are a few that are larger than average. My fav so far is the Battleship Texas.

That is, until you decide to sprint across the open street. Which I've learned is ill advised with a short range weapon such as the shotgun. |

Yeah, you bloody snipers just love the buses on either end to bits.
I tried the sniper rifle - got one kill in the whole match, gave up. Which is funny, since in real life, I quite prefer going for precision / distance shooting rather than close range blasting away. |

Is there any point in completing the campaign to benefit multiplayer? Havent touched COD in years and the WW2 campaign doesnt interest me a bit but if you get some sweet gun or perk by completing the campaign, i'll tough it out. Otherwise straight to PvP it is

I believe you get gear (uniform/helmet) if you complete the campaign.

I remember playing the original call of duty World War II for hours on my HP Computer with the picture tube screen. God that must've been almost 15 years ago

i haven't played video games for years, and haven't really been into an fps since medal of honor airborne - never really got into the other cod games
dl this last night and just started playing the campaign last night, my only gripe is how easy it is to use the weapons, there is very little recoil, you just hammer down with pin point accuracy like every other cod game i was hoping being ww2 based, different guns would require different techniques to use, just like they were in medal of honor series - you had to tap trigger on the machine guns for example to maintain accuracy or even apply counter movement if hammering down to keep it steady |

Yea there is few articles where they mention that ps will be making a new system every year, just like phones do it. So 2018 we might get a ps pro2 or something like that. And i am 100% sure we will because xbox x has 4k blue ray and ps pro doesn't so thats another reason they will make a pro 2 with more power and 4k ble ray dvd, to beat the xbox x.

Thats one of the disadvantages of the consoles, if you want to stay on track you have to buy sooner or later a newer model.
In comparison I find it more senseful to upgrade my PC every 4 or 5 years and use it for additional things aside of playing. Awaiting my uncut WWII today and would pausing Wolfenstein 2 for this

Just prestiged the expeditionary class last night. Not sure it was really worth it - it unlocked the ability to take two lethal grenades instead of one and the sawn off shotgun which add 15% XP, but it's a double barrel and they suck on reload and firepower in this game.
Whereas the single pump is just deadly. What I think I missed is that when prestiging, I think you can go to the overlook first and talk to the general. Whereas I went to the desk first and prestiged, and then tried to go to the overlook and was barred b/c I had nothing to prestige. Oh well, I'll prestige another class and do it differently next time. Anyone doing prestige, talk to the guy at the gate (near the prestige desk) first, rather than the guy at the desk and let me know what happens. I'm a long way away from prestiging again. |

I've played BF1 for the last year and I am really enjoying WW2, as I mentioned in an earlier post, no jet packs! |

World at War was really good, in it's day. I agree, that final scene in World at War when you fight through the Reichstag to fly the flag and you are stabbed and helped up, did tug at my heart strings. I don't know if WWII will do that, but I will say, the video you can watch in the multiplayer social area about the effort and what not put into the game, gave me a similar feeling. I'll report back next week when I finish the campaign. I go through it on Veteran, because for me, that was I end up playing longer and not zipping through it. |

it's ok and better than the jet pack jumping bs. the maps are cool and there is something called War that is pretty neat, you do three objectives and then the other team gets their chance to do the same. defin a team mode.

I work at MSFT. What you are talking about is basically over..there will be no "new generation" consoles likely ever again.
