M5 bumper installed:
Wheels back on and ready to go to the body shop for final paint and blending of fenders and hood: Once I get it back I need to install all the trim (fender liners, brake ducts, grills, PDC, and side markers) Also the OEM M5 Mirrors are in the car and getting painted as well so once those come back I need to install those as well. I also need t order up some spacer for the front wheels, from the looks of it it looks like the front fenders now match the rears so I think some 15mm spacers will work well. |

Got the car back from paint last night and went to install the trim to get it finished up and ran into a few problems:
1) The PDC sensors on the M5 bumper are different then those on the stock bumper so I have to order new ones. At $166.19 each from Tischer they are not cheap when you need 4 of them. Hopefully I can reuse the harness. 2) Brake ducts are not a direct install. You will have to custom mount them directly to the bumper and trim the back side so they match up the with existing standard e60 brake ducts. 3) I broke my matte black kidney grills taking them off the stock bumper so I had to order a new set. 4) I order the wrong glass for the mirrors so I have to exchange them for the correct ones, of course the glass for my mirrors cost 3x what the ones I bought cost Here is a photo of how the car sits currently while it waits on the parts: |

you should fill in the sidemarker on the front fenders, so that way you can utilize the wide fender but not be a m5 poser.

A little update....
So I got the PDC sensors and correct glass for the mirrors. Cost me an extra $1000 So I went to put everything back together and of course the PDC sensors dont fit on the stock wire harness. So now I need to order up another PDC sensor harness for the M5. Im guessing this is going to cost about another $100 |

do you want to sell the old sensors and harness? im thinking about doing a PDC retrofit....also i bought a PDC bumper but have a non-PDC car so at a minimum id like to fill those holes w/ OEM equipment if you want to unload those sensors for cheap

Well its back together
Now it needs a bath, and then I need to take it in to BMW to have the air bag light reset as the body shop turned the car on when the door panels where off, and I need them to program the car so it stops giving me fog light warnings. |

^ Thanks!!!
I got a little update done ... I had all the wood trim wrapped in the 3M Carbon Fiber so that the interior looks like the current E90/92 M3s CF trim. Came out great but its been pouring here so Ill get some photos shortly. |
