seems like it. i've been reading about the game on reddit and it looks like the issue is that there aren't many races available online, no career mode, and the payouts are abysmal. So either you grind the same race over and over for days to get money or you just buy new cars with real cash.

probably why the game has a metacritic score of 1.7 out of 10.

the base of the game is good though, so it can be saved. but they need to add alot of content and restructure the economy.

I was planning on buying a ps5 for this game but i'll hold off for now.

Sucks, I grew up with GT and was looking forward to it and the dualsense controller effects.

For the PS5, friend of a friend who bots purchases, but was willing to sell one to me for, again, a slight markup.

No...its not like cell phone games where they bug you every time you play the game or pass a level.

I need to get me a wheel I think. How do you like it? Is it anchored to a rig or you just sit it on the table in front of you?

I bought a ecosystem fanatec and a cockpit next level racing (with wheels to easy put it on my cave when I’m not playing) , it’s not cheap but I never liked the toy wheels and for now it’s a great experience

Same. Granted I don't have a PS5 yet but I could have gotten the one that had both versions. It didn't make sense though, graphics wise, there was not a huge difference between them. The ray tracing that they touted only shows up in replays which I skip anyway so the PS4 version is just fine & fun

PS4 version for me too. Not had a lot of time to play yet, but seems ok so far. Loading times arent too bad and graphics are good.
Just need the house to myself for a few hours to set the wheel and seat up in front of the tv. Ok on the controller so far but looking forward to trying with the wheel

That is all stuff that is being worked out with patches. Polyphony has been listening to the negative reviews and they are making changes. Larger payouts, more cars in the used car lot, eventually they are going to add the ability to sell cars in your garage...stuff like that

As much as I hate some things about the game, I love it more. Waiting for the updates.

^^I am loving it too. There are a few things that annoy me but I can see past them. I love that they brought the modding back to the scene. I did not like GT Sport's moddification setup so this one is like a blast from the past and it is probably my favorite part of the game

I dig it also but these days my time only allows for very casual gaming. So if someone were wanting to really dive in I'm not sure how it is.

I did the licenses to get to unlock multiplayer, bought some credit, grabbed a few GT3 and GT4 cars, done.

Amazing game.

I love that you can buy OEM colours like Imola red and apply to any car.

Same. Made my M3 GT4 Grigio Telesto. After enough wine I feel like I'm really driving my car.

Yup... Unfortunately they don't have the G80 M3 in the game... but they DO have the color I ordered mine in (Oxford Green). So I've applied that color to the F82 and have been admiring it while I wait for my car.

I feel like the graphics have stopped improving from Gt5 on, game looks the same as its predecessors.

I'm in the same boat. I've been on Xbox forever, but remember growing up on the Gran Turismo franchise. Was really hoping to get back into it, but what I've been hearing isn't as expected.

I'll hold until the improvements are in place.

The improvements are already in place... they were VERY quick in their response and issued a flurry of updates that fixed many of the things people were complaining about.

Have you seen the game running on a proper TV? It blows any of the previous GT games out of the water.

The lighting alone makes it almost photorealistic. The textures on the road, the weather effects, etc.

Just look at any graphics comparison and see the light bouncing off the cars in motion.

Oh damn, I actually said the exact opposite about it and I still have PS4. This is the first game I think actually looks like a step up.
