Installed mine today...it's pretty, for sure. But I've misplaced my MS Office CD and it keeps trying to reinstall it...and the programs won't work without it. Oh, and I have no sound anymore. It claims to have a working sound card, but it doesn't...maybe I'll keep the XP.

I would strongly advise against an upgrade package. Microsoft totally screws you on the terms. Hell, I'd advise against Vista in general until a DX10 only game comes out, then you can upgrade.

I'm not going to install it before servicepack 1 or 2. XP works fine for me, why change??
My advise: only install Vista on new computers, "designed" for Vista, or else stick with XP |

i'm soooo happy i switched to mac when i got the chance. As stated before, Vista is Mac with Microsucks logo on it. THey copied some of mac's tools, etc... You want to make a good choice? Buy a mac.
"Vista is more secure" - Just be 100% secure and buy a mac "vista looks cool" - compare it to a mac, it's kaka.... Vista is mac wannabe "you can get real time weather,etc.." - mac has had that for the longest??? Bro do yourself a favor and be REALLY secure, and enjoy using your computer with less hassle. Buy a mac. I'm telling you, you will not regret it. don't be scared about not knowing how to use it and stuff. I never used a mac in my life and i went ahead and bought a imac. Now, i don't understand why i put up with microsucks for so many years... I just don't know... Installing drivings, and rebooting and blue screen of death, and crashing, and viruses, and spyware, and... Ohhhh God the list just goes on. I'm serious. As a fellow fanatic to another, go to www.apple.com and check out their imac or imac mini if you don't want to invest a lot of money. You will thank me later.

pc you will spend more time maintaining the computer, with defrag and virus updates and spyware downloads, and.... mac you will spend more time using the computer... After all isn't that why you bought your computer? People are so used to putting up with PC that they tend to think it's normal and are custom to it... THeir are better options out their. Try the mac, you will wonder why you closed minded (if you never used a mac) on the PC. It's like everyone is in the matrix and few are trying to show people, their is more than that out their! ; - )
