You should see the RS7 in real life. I was totally focussed on the RS6 until I saw the RS7. It's wide, it's flat, it's gorgeous. Probably the best interpretation of an affordable four door sportscar.

Definitely a great looking car Alex. Like the RS6.....I wish it was something that was affordable to me. Wife drives a 2018 Premium Plus A5 and the car is a blast to drive.

I'm not driving a station wagon looking vehicle no matter what they put on or in it.

The Q8 is one sexy MF! We considered one before grabbing our X5 xDrive50i. It is considerably smaller overall.
I'd rock the shit out of this Beautiful Beast.

As far as coupe style SUVs, the Q8, Cayenne Coupe, and Urus dominate.

Agreed! There's a White Q8 that I've seen several times in my area with Blackout trim and 22" Black wheels and dark tint. Thing is Fire!

Had an RS6 on order for spring delivery. Walked into local dealer that had an RSQ8 and was blown away. It was parked next to the new all road which is same size as RS6. The RSQ8 and Wagon were the same length and width. The rear trunk space of the wagon was smaller that what I imagined. The RSQ8 was basically the same size but taller. Canceled my rs6 order and got an RSQ8 instead. ETA December.

Coming from a pick up DD which I love. Being somewhat tall (6' 2") I'd rather hop in and out of the SUV than the wagon 10 out of 10 times. Performance is same. Both look mean as hell. I have a manual GT3 for the weekend and track. The suv makes way more sense. Wife, son and dog can all ride with tons of space to spare. Could easily tow the GT3 to the track with its 7700lb capacity. To me this is the ultimate daily driver.

Also the pics and video don't do it justice. In person it looks 🔥🔥🔥🔥

Absolutely. Same exact platform. And this vehicle has more power! And looks better IMO.

It's for the people that want/need ground clearance while still retaining the driving characteristics of a sporty car. I'm not an SUV guy as the X3M is the first SUV I've ever owned and while I may go back to a car next vehicle I have to admit it's so nice to be able to park anywhere and drive up any curb without having to worry about scraping the front or rear of the car. Also being in a northern climate I don't have to worry about my front end acting as a snow plow or getting caught on hard packed snow. It's a drive it fast and not worry about anything vehicle and I'm liking it a lot more than I thought I would.

With all that out of the way I think it's kind of stupid to buy a performance SUV and slam it but to each his own.

The solution to the SUV/Sedan debate is easy, GET A MODEL Y PERFORMANCE! It can beat 911 on track while having enough space for 7 seats. It beats RSQ8 in 0-60 too. Best of all, it won't burn a hole in your pocket buying gas.

Honestly, if BMW doesn't move to performance electric cars soon (no, not that ugly slow i4) it's gonna lose a lot customer including me to Tesla.

As for the SUV vs Sedan debate, unless you plan on tracking your car, it's silly buying a track oriented performance car that's defeated by the speed bump at your local mall. SUV/CUV allow you to navigate the shitty B roads in north america while allowing you to carry way more gears to go on a road trip. If you are into the outdoor at all that is. And who doesn't enjoy a power lift gate for day to day shopping in a grocery store? How do you even shop in Ikea without a SUV?

To me, SUV makes more sense than Sedans for almost everyone.

Yes, the 911 (2004-2012 Generation) that lap the nurburgring in 7:40.

98% of the time a sedan does everything I need, I wouldn't buy an SUV for the 2%. I have never had a problem with speed bumps, any roads, or needed to carry more gear on trips. Even the "outdoors", everywhere I go worst case is you take a dirt road to a trailhead, not like I am headed over bolders in my Tesla Y. I don't have a need for a 7 seater for my wife and I and my car fits 4 adults comfortably. I have never purchased anything big from IKEA but if I wanted to I could figure out a way, I am renovating a house right now and either have everything delivered or rent the Lowes/Home Depot truck as needed. Even then it is likely about once every two months, I wouldn't deal with an SUV day to day to do it. If I had a bunch of kids maybe I would think differently for one of our vehicles.

Because of weight and height, an SUV normally costs more and every performance metric and mpg is at least slightly worse compared to the comparable car.

Lol posts like these are why people dislike Tesla fanboys. Mentioning a Model Y in the same breath as a Porsche, that too the 911.

When I worked at Tesla my clients did the same thing. So irritating.

X1 weigh as around the same as 3 series with similar fuel economy. AMG GLA 45 can rekt a lot of Sedans.

Model Y DM and Performance is the best dollar/performance than any sports Sedan.

Ugh. You're one of those 0-60 above all else type of people. Some of us actually care about how cars drive.

Also GLA45 "rekt" a bunch of sedans. I'm a MB enthusiast and even I know the GLA has to be one of (if not) the worst MB's on sale.

Post like relink to Top Gear? Yea I'm sure they are a bunch of Tesla fanboys there. I'm definitely not one though as I just like to compare techs and things and fan of no one. Boy I wish there's something I can compare Model 3 and Model Y performance with in terms of performance to value but I simply can't find one. I wish BMW makes one, but they came up with i4!?! It's like they are trying to lose!

It's irritating when I find irrational people who automatically think whoever brings up Tesla is a Tesla fanboy. How about you come up with a strong argument against it instead?
