Maybe, but I also think he's getting a boost due to it being a 'contract year'. I look at it this way, Max has won more races in the first 5 of 2024 with 1 DNF than Sai has in 10 years in F1. And it's not like he's driven in back marker teams either.

Sure .But we heard Charlie's onboard radio . That wasn't funny !
I'm pretty sure , that won't hold Sainz back

Sainz has nothing to lose in his last season at Ferrari , and Charlie will be the victim of that .
Sainz is seriously screwed by Ferrari and Charlie . Charlie was aware of it and long time before Sainz got the bad news and Sainz knows that !
That's Sainz payback in the races !

Ferrari Fred will lose his hair by his war horses !

Fred puts on a brave face but the rivalry will age him quickly, like with a football manager.

yes but how many super talents are there for teams to pick from? i think any team will be wanting him. heck if Ricciardo is wanted by Red Bull then i think Sainz will have no trouble finding a drive (if seats are available that is).

I feel like there is a reason why Ferrari was so quick to drop him. I read somewhere that he's very political. Not sure in what context it was, but maybe he really isn't a great teammate...I don't know.
At the same time, they sign Ham and get all the marketing from him and if he were to muster up the racing skills to win, great for them, and if he continues on his current ways, which I believe he'll continue to decline given his age, they can simply say they didnt expect much given his age.

Garage List
Only SAI knows who he has spoken too, but if Audi is a real possibility and he knows that's where he's eventually going to end up, he should be picking a team that will allow him to drive and prepare him for that move.

Given everything else that has gone on, I don't think you can look long-term. Mercedes hasn't proved they understand any bit of the ground effect era and Red Bull might look to start heading in the wrong direction and I fully expect talent losses to other teams like all good teams experience.

Carlos has no good options.

Williams or Audi via lost year at Sauber.

A seat is better than no seat. But I’d only go to Reb Bull if I knew Verstappen is leaving. Sainz has the goods to become champion on a year the stars align. Think Button, Rosberg and Raikkonen. But not if Verstappen has the #1 seat.

Problem for RB is Max's huge contract.

No Checo = No Carlos Slim. Unlike Checo, Sainz isn't bringing a billionaire to the table so they can't pay him what he's probably worth.

My two cents.

I guess if he has a chance to pick a team for himself at the moment for the next season, he will pick Red Bull. Red Bull would also want a driver like him to replace struggling Sergio Perez.

Think it's more a case if RB will choose him, the sponsors he brings and depending on the length of contract.
So money orientated that it's on hold for so long and may drag on indefinitely.
