  • The M5 has plenty of options not available on the M3
  • The M5 has that wonderous V10
  • The M5 is just as good a performer as the E92 M3 will be
  • ..etc.

Each car offers a different experience.

I hope they upgrade the bumper with the "cut-outs" while they're at it.

Erm, the M5 is considerably faster than the M3, especially when upgraded. (25% more cylinders to squeeze additional power from) Have you seen the Kellners M5? Fucking fast.

We're referring to the new ///M3. Performance should be quite similar. I do understand your intent however. That member truly discounts how wonderful the ///M5 is.

I'm referring to the new M3 as well. My point still stands. I doubt the new M3 will be able to hit 200 either, since the cd of the 3 and 5 are essentially identical and 93 less HP hurts.

No the new m3 is not faster than an M5. The M5 has a higher top speed and accelerates better. Where did you get this useless unture information from?

They are going to HAVE to go FI if they are going to keep up with the other high performance sedans.

In particular the new CTS-V ...

I had an aftermarket supercharged CTS-V and I must say I was impressed with the cars overall performance. In 2008 with its new and improved interior quality/design, slightly more appeasing outward appearance, and the 100,000 warranty - the new 600HP CTS-V should give the M5 a great challenge.

Good point, especially if the CTSv is going to have a detuned version of the supercharged solution in the Z07 (ZR1 or whatever). It could possibly require a pulley change to unlock the full 700hp.
