These are some of my staples from Trader Joe's. Shit I can't get at Whole Foods or any other grocery store.

Soo much stuff that is good there. Cinnamon bread, brioche hot dog rolls, various BBQ sauces (Right now the Cold Brew BBQ Sauce), sparkling black tea with peach, sparkling green tea with pineapple, chimichuri rice, mango sorbet, cotton candy grapes (when available), cilantro & jalapeno hummus...just to name a few things. LoL
They used to have cheddar bacon popcorn that was, IMO, the best snack they had period! IDK why they got rid of it |

When I go there, about once every 3-4 months because it isn't close I stock up on:
Chicken Chili lime burgers Microwave brown rice Frozen garlic, basil, parsley, and ginger cubes (so much less waste then buying fresh herbs) Trail mix Multivitamins (recommended to me by a nutritionist several years ago) Chocolate bars with hazelnuts Various beer based on what they have in stock- they don't sell wine in grocery stores in NY, but used to buy wine when we lived in CA. Small crackers- they have various flavors, usually with some combination of a berry and nut. Frozen fried rice Frozen scallops Turkey burgers I want to try their everthing but the leftovers seasoning |

Tried it but never got into Trader Joe's, even after adjusting my regular list around their products. I've just been going to 2 places where I can everything I need (Woodman's and, occasionally, CostCo).
Wrt chili-garlic cashews (or any seasoned legume snack), they're reaallly easy to make, take barely any time to make (<5min), and you'll get a lot more for less $.

First thing I get is annoyed, then frustrated, and then out of there.
I used to go when Joe actually owned it, a million years ago, and it was a pretty cool place to get a few things. But as others have already mentioned, you can’t really get everything there, so shopping at TJs necessitates another stop somewhere else. Being chromosomally challenged, I can’t abide one store much less two. So I just don’t go to TJ anymore. And, frankly, I never found anything to be worth their prices, especially the “two-buck-chuck” wine which is the fastest route to a headache for me. |

I go to Trader Joe's for all the hot ladies in yoga pants in the mornings. There is a ton of eye candy and it is nice to pick up some specialty items for lunch.

I forgot naan, but tonight I'll be dining on Madras Lentils, with a bit of NY steak from Saturday night's dinner. Swing shift at work . . .

Foreigner's perspective (Australian who travels to the US every year because I have family there)…these are the TJs essentials I always stock up on and take home in my suitcase:
-Moroccan Mint Tea -Cowboy Caviar salsa -Whatever seasonal candle scent they currently have -Greeting cards - they have some nice designs IMO Some TJs stores stock one of my all-time favourite Australian wines, Mollydooker "The Boxer" shiraz. If you see it, get on it!! |
