De-badged

Thanks for all the nice comments.

Now that I de-badged the car, it looks even cleaner.
In particular, I did not care too much for the X-Drive badge on the side of the car. I don't think I am the only one who feels that way. I am not sure why BMW decided to go that route with the badging...

I will try to post some pics.

Is the M-sport package available on the 2009 535xi in the U.S.?

I am assuming it was not available on the 2008 535xi?

Yes, the M-sport pack is available on 2009 535 X-Drive US models.
I do not think it was available for 2008 models.

One thing to note is that the M sport suspension is only available on RWD.

Here is a link with the announcement:

So do you still like the car?

Does the 2008 535i suffer less fuel pump failures than the 335i or is it about the same. A crapshoot

Yes, I still like the car. No fuel pump failure so far.

if you check on realoem web site you will find that both the 2008 535 and 335 share the same fuel pump part number (13517592881), I would say the odds are the same.

Well glad you are still liking it and have had no failure, I may have to bite the bullet and pick one up next week.

Prepared for winter

Over the week-end I prepared the car for winter using the following process:

1) Wash
2) Prepare paint using a clay bar - used Mothers clay bar kit
3) Polish - used Meguiars' swirl remover polish
4) Protect - applied a sealant Klasse AIO
5) Enhance - applied by hand Zymol Concours wax
