No gun yet. Would like to get something like the Sig P226 just to go to the range with.
Guns are for mature people. Unfortunately there are no shortage of morons.

Same here. Don't own one yet but also looking for the Sig P226. It is the person behind the trigger that is responsible/irresponsible. I remember when I was in Sydney that a court Judge condemmed the auto company that produced those high powered cars that was in an accident that killed somebody.

+2.I remember a guy who was a Sheriff that we rode with in Tennessee falling off his Harley and sliding along on his ass and the gun coming out of his holster. He was more concerned about the damage to his gun than the damage to the bike.We had a good laugh about that!

I see arguments that are level and valid and we should be able to have hobbies. There are ways of making it safe to allow them but then you have the ridiculous arguments that make all gun lovers look like homicidal morons. Mind you it's entertaining for the rest of us. One of my favourites was a few years back some guy got on a subway and shot some people with his legally held handgun. The NRA argument was if everyone on the train had guns he would have been stopped sooner??? Level heads would say if he didn't have a gun in the first place he couldn't have done it. I'd love to get a long rifle here and use it on a decent long range. I'd have no problem leaving it locked up at the range. Anyone from Canada know of any long ranges near Toronto? |

You guys are lucky in the States, we can't get anything here in Canada
P.S. Our crime rate in Canada would be just as bad as the States if we had the same population size. |

Can those of you who want to argue over gun rights please do so in the politics forum and stop shitting up the thread for owners?
Anyway. I sold all of my guns when I moved to Cali. But before I moved here I had an AR (Olympic), a few HK pistols, a couple of Glocks, a Sig P226 .40, an HK USC .45 carbine, and a couple of Springfield XDs. I've been thinking about buying a rifle to plink with at the range, a Springfield SOCOM II or a Scout Squad. I might pick up another 9mm Glock, too.

For the couple folks above considering a 226 for their first - just do it! Great all around platform, very accurate, simple and reliable. You could own this as your only pistol and never go wrong.
Warning - Sigs are like a sickness. You won't be able to stop the infection once you start. You'll soon find yourself with, in addition to a 226 TT, an X-5, 220 Carry Elite ST, 239, 239SASII, 220ST. Just to keep the S&W 642 company, along with the Colt 6920, FN Herstal 12ga., etc., etc...... Happy shooting. Thank God ammo is available and (somewhat) reasonable again!!! |

^^Looks cool.
Still don't know why blue-collar workers need guns. Unless you own a small business or something and have to protect the storefront. You are just asking for trouble for owning a gun, especially after 5 officers were shot in Jersey City. Why don't you just work on your REAL guns. Be a man. |

When I finally buy one, it'll be a P226 as well. Then, I'll get a Saiga 12 for the house. Semi-auto shotty? Yes, please.
