No offense, but you sound a bit daft when saying 4 goals is unheard of when someone literally scored more than that the week prior.

Australia seems like they are a good team, and they should make some noise. We shall see what happens if they end up playing the US at some point.

I wouldn't be surprised if they found that she has naturally high levels of testosterone, and thus should not play in women's games.

Canada played like ass. Not sure why Christine Sinclair would not take the penalty. Such a dumb decision to let Janine Beckie take it. She's captain, a striker and 2nd leading scorer all time. So mad.

I don't think "Segregate" is the right word because, in theory, a woman who is good enough could play in the men's league. The men's leagues do not say that women aren't allowed to play in their leagues. Women's leagues (and kids leagues) do restrict on the basis of sex (and, in kids leagues, age) to give a competitive opportunity to a segment of population that otherwise wouldn't have one. This is why I never liked the argument "If women can play in men's leagues, why can't a man play in a women's league?" It's the same reason we don't let Messi play in a local U12 AYSO game (but if a U12 player was good enough, he/she could play in a top-tier professional league (subject to child labor laws)).
