Bmw doesn't know how to be .. well what they used to be, if I'm going to be blunt about it. They've diluted what the brand is what what I loved about it really isn't all that much there any more .. I guess it's called "moving with the times"

That profile is hot. Would totally consider buying it. Too bad shooting brakes aren't widely accepted by consumers.

Good ideas like this go nowhere.
Only generic cars that appeal to generic soulless people (but with wild and crazy colors because that's what douchebags and the extreme superficial like) get approved and made. This is the effect of having places like China as the #1 market, which bmw is proud of because generic soulless cars seem much easier to create and profit from, rather than something like this for discerning customers. Ferrari gets so much credit for making the ff and then sticking to their guns and improving it with the lusso. Bmw used to be able to do the same with cars like the z3 m coupe, z8, 1m etc. but has now seemingly totally given up. Their answer to the special halo car in the lineup requirement is to take a usual car and add either a stupid color or some horrid colored stripes. Whatever clashes more to someone with taste. The current customer base eats it up because they are generally stupid. So a good render underlying an incredible concept for a bmw, but one that will simply never happen. If someone does want something like this there is the ferrari or the amg gts in some respects. Of course a smaller and far less expensive version would trump them both. Which company will be smart enough to tap the enthusiast market to bolster the rest of the brand... Sadly if a car like this ever came from bmw it would come from the shared platform car with Toyota. Bmw would totally miss the point that a car like this has to be special, embodying all of what makes bmw special with unique parts and fine tuning by the best bmw has to offer. Their answer would surely be the opposite and simply place this shell onto a supra. Amg went all the way and built the sls and the gts on its own unique platform, unique from anything else in its lineup. They are reaping the benefits of this hard work every day. Respect and loyalty for amg grows every day. Bmw m, not so much. But give us more colors. Yay I'm 5. Let's see what underpins the upcoming m8, I believe it will surely be a sign of the health of the company vis a vis performance cars and enthusiasts. Will the focus be on useless turbo rush or a truly masterful drive. That will tell us all we need to know about what products will be coming around the bend. Great respect for all the enthusiasts here keeping hope alive.
