From my experience, LG has a ton of QC issues. I don't even know how this happens, when Samsung doesn't have these kinds of issues. For modular phones, it's not ready for so many reasons. When you find out the cost of the modules, you'll realize you want to just buy a new phone. Google/Motorola talked about doing modular phones for at least a year, did a Kickstarter campaign etc. And they still haven't released one yet. But I agree LG is being more innovative than Samsung. Too bad LG has these QC issues consistently with their new product releases.

It's a nice phone, but the Note 5 is way ahead. I don't care about memory, micro SDs are a pain the ass. They freeze, you can't put absolutely everything on them(every phone is different), etc.

64gb is plenty for my needs, and I carry a portable charger. I understand some can't, like a police officer walking the beat for example. I love wireless charging on my Note and it charges supper fast. 15 min on a fast charging battery pack gets me 40% power bump.
The HTC 10 is also a much better phone, close to stock Android and has an amazing camera.

To each their own. Everyone has preferences and the phone market is crowded. The OP was like an advertisement as the LG G5 does not trump any flagship actually. Go to YouTube and see it's reviews, the Nexus 6P, S7 edge, Note5 and HTC 10 are way ahead. Removable battery and storage sounds great but in the real world most people don't really care in my experience. But it sounds good to say.

Lol! I posted MY phone choice. Don't like it, oh well. I have had fantastic success with multiple LG phones for years. I'm above average with tech. When I find a product that works for me, I am loyal. Back in the day when I worked in IT, it was all about Blackberrys. Then I chose Android for their "open platform" OS. Beginning with multiple Samsung Galaxy products, some Nexus and HTC. Now after 3 LG phones in the past 3yrs, all of which have been very solid, yeah, I'm sticking with them.
There are tons of positive reviews from a plethora of sources. It is currently considered among the best if not the best phone available. The modular design is getting plenty of praise! But hey, whichever works for you go for it.

Phones with options to remove battery is stupid now. All it does is allows idiots who put cheap batteries in them and screw up the phones and then they complain to their service providers that they were duped into buying this POS phone. OP has good luck with LG's so he stuck with the LG, I would too. However I went with the s7 edge and loving it so far, I could have waited for LG but the Samsung offer was much better.

Yep. As you can see, I got my wife a S7. I have been looking at wireless fast charging options for her device. Do you own have considered any?
