Yes but it also has a farther detection range.. and this is after I had my 9500i stolen and i replaced it with the 9500ix

I'll get over it though whats done is already done

I'm sure the next version will have GPS, then the version after that will have the red light camera/speed trap feature. Once the latest one comes out I'll be buying it for my wife. I currently have the 9500ix and it's saved me more times than i can remember - i love the lockout feature. The red light warning is, imo unnecessary (for me) because the only times I have ever ran a red it's been out of necessity - cool feature though. The speed trap warning on the other hand has saved me twice! The ix, is still the best option until they release this Redline with all the above mentioned features.

I second the comment on not caring where the radar is coming from. I'll slow down regardless.

I will point out that Escort has said the Redline is just for highway driving because of its sensitivity. If you try it in town it will false as much or more than the V1.

Might as well save the $100.

"Choose from three levels of sensitivity including Highway (full sensitivity) Auto (filtered mode) and Auto NoX (filtered but without X-Band)."

"Exclusive AutoMode logic which intelligently reduces unwanted false alarms, plus Highway and Auto NoX settings"

this is from the escort website

I guess I am sticking with my 9500i blue display..

Only thing I would upgrade to is a laser jammer.. radar detector is useless pretty much against laser..

this one is suppose to have a stronger laser detection or something. we have to wait for the reviews to come out.

jammer is better than a detection. im gonna get laser interceptor
