San Peitro is great - I've been there - but (a) it's in midtown, not LM and (b) it ain't cheap - I believe we pulled out around $250 for two peeps.

I agree it was about that when I went but great steak chops and seafood great wine too

The Piccolo Angolo is $40-50per good home cooking and wine simply from a carafe. Were 9th ave angles over to 8th ave.

i don't live in Manhattan but i'm in the financial district every month for work. so i'm just kind of giving you places that i've been to recently and enjoyed

Temple Court (in the Beekman Hotel) - fucking awesome and great cocktails, but you'll likely find it too expensive if you said the same thing about North End Grill

Mercer Kitchen in Soho

Blue Smoke in the WFC - was good but i hesitate to recommend a NY BBQ place to a Texan...you likely have far better places at home
