At least on the plus side the suppliers have had a chance to pivot to home product lines. I have a buddy that works for Georgia-Pacific and I asked him about this back in the day and he told me if I wanted one of those big plastic dispensers and those giant rolls of single-ply he could get me a freightload today, but good luck on Angel Soft. They couldnt pivot their product lines quick enough to deal with the crash of the commercial market and the demand moving to the home since were all sh*tting in our own toilets 8-5 now.

Had a buddy of mine at Fastenal ask me last year if I needed toilet paper. Said he would hook me up with a case of of those giant one-ply rolls you speak of. Hard pass. We actually had a hard time getting the hand sanitizer refill bags for our GP dispensers a few months ago.

In the prison they give you one square sheet of 1 ply TP. The trick is to poke a hole in the middle and put your middle finger through the hole. Then when you wipe, you use your finger to dig out the poop and the TP to clean off your finger.

It's an old method widely used in USSR with a lifelong shortage of TP. I survived that, and I will survive it again here.

Two packages of something is hoarding now? Maybe they live far from Costco, don’t get there often and they just buy two of everything when there. It’s not like the guy posting here last year who stuffed 2 PALLETS of toilet paper into his suburban or whatever it was. While those 2 2-packs of Pam seem excessive, I’m not bothered by people stocking up with one cart full of stuff at a store with giant carts and pallets full of products so people can stock up on stuff.

Lighten up. Panic buying starts when people think others are panic buying, so pointing it out makes it happen.

Yeah my mom buys for my sister and I so her cart would look similar to the lady in the original post.

Now that you've posted this a panic has been created in the BMW community which will start a ripple effect throughout the globe. I guess I'll have to shower after every poop when I run out of TP.

You're seriously disturbed because someone bought more than 1 pack of toilet paper. Enough to take a picture of the person and make the claim online that they're hoarding.

I wear a mask in areas where required. In what way is that relevant to people stocking toiler paper and paper towels?
