it still boggles my mind why we added Max Scherzer. He is projected to only add 6-7 more wins for us this year.

In a division where we are projected to win handily, the Nats need more offense. Werth - Zimmerman combo is hitting around .220 right now...downright anemic. I am very surprised with the recent surge after the slow start, our wins have average score of 10-5 or something to that effect....we haven't played many tight pitchers duel games, and the ones we did play, we lost, due to a lack of offense.

Clearly last year, the lack of an offense hurt the Nats in the post season, we already had a top 3 rotation. I think Scherzer might have been added to ensure we can get at least 3 wins per series just by pitching alone...but we still need a big bopper. I want to trade Strasburg for a hitter.

Strasburg has fallen flat on his face like CC Sabathia. Imagine a trade of Strasburg for A-Rod straight up. Yankees need pitching and Nationals need a bat

Too late, in for the long haul. It's a long season.

Remember, Tanaka Malaka will make 3 more starts before have TJS and we'll see him next Spring Training 2017.

-A-Rod will bat .225 but will hit 35 HR's
-We'll get Cole Hamels
-Beltran will get hot
-CC will be awful as usual
-AL East is weak

The Yankees are about where they should be. They're about an 78-85 win team. They don't hit consistently, many of their bats are old, and the starters can't get deep into games. Their strength is the bullpen, but it can't hold up all season.

They need more talented position players from the farm system.

Love the Yankees, but don't really like this team.

Does this losing streak get rid of those nasty looking mustaches? Please say yes.

They say Judge isn't ready but they should bring him up after the all star break. I think he's gonna be great.

2 games above .500. AL East is not relevant this year. Hoston and KC are tops in AL so far. Twins not far behind but I don't think they can keep it up.

Tanaka's elbow is not right and will never be until the ligament pops. Tommy John surgery is in his future. Not rooting for it like I have heard some because there is no guarantee he will return to form.

At least the Pineda trade is working out well. Jesus Montero? Who?

Montero is in the Mariners AAA? Yeah so far the trade has worked in our favor. So was the trade made nearly 20 years ago between both clubs that brought us Tino and Jeff Nelson for Sterling Hitchcock and Russel Davis. However, trading Jay Buhner for Ken Phelps was lol.

Regarding Tanaka, I'll be shocked if he makes 3 more starts this season. We're gonna have to get another starter eventually. It's gonna be a roller coaster AL East as all teams have serious issues.

I haven't watched much games down here as I used to when I lived in NY, though I do listen to Boomer and Carton every morning on my way to work and the other WFAN shows (Evan & Roberts and Mike Francesa) while at work everyday as well to keep up with the NY sports. Yeah, Didi isn't going to be around for a while if he doesn't turn it around by next season. We have been spoiled with Jeter for a long time.

I remember in 1992 I got the some baseball card sent (can't remember which one) and it had Jeter's draft pick card. Back then I was like who the hell is this scrawny looking dude?

pretty solid start from Tanaka today.. aside from the 3rd inning, he was pretty spot on with his pitches.. threw a lot of strikes and his 4 seamer was hitting 90-93 and the split was working as well getting batters to chase low

god I hope that ligament holds up
