I heard it was Jewish space lasers that took it down.

There was no iceberg involved. It's all a lie.

I heard somewhere, I can't remember where, that the Titanic sailed off the edge of the Flat Earth.

It sank because of loose lips. It happens all the time.

Up to four of Titanic's sixteen w/tight compartments could flood without the ship sinking but there was a design flaw..

In conclusion then the ship may have survived the iceberg hit with minimal damage if the hull metal was not weakened by the out of control coal fire which raged for 3 weeks. Expert says it may have weakened the strike area by as much as 75%.

But are there other experts who say, "Pshaw!"?

It doesn't matter what anyone says - it sank. Gravity was the culprit.

Diagram of the main slit which is longer in the metal weakened boiler area than the other shorter ones.

Regardless, an ice berg would remain the proximate cause of the sinking.

Secondary factors were that the ship was proceeding too fast at 22 knots (26mph) and no one on watch had binoculars which would have given enough early warning time but they were locked away in a small cabinet with no key and no one thought of breaking it open.

And would perhaps be of little to no consequence, but for the ice berg.

Everybody knows the titanic sank because the diesel motor had a rod bearing failure and threw a rod right through the hull. The root cause is debatable, either inadequate lubrication from the so obviously too thick 10w60, or a stacking of manufacturers' clearances on the motor parts that caused a critical too-narrow of bearing clearance.

That and the mirage which was likely cloaking anything the ship was headed towards.

Maybe they should have sailed directly at the berg and hit it square on? Would have damaged fewer compartments that way...

I agree though that it probably had shell oil instead of liqui moly, and that's almost certainly what caused the catastrophic failure of the hull

The reason it sank was because they used the OEM pos plastic charge pipe. If they had installed an aluminum charge pipe, they wouldn't have had any problems.

Moot point on a moonless night which made it very difficult - if not impossible, to see any water hazards let alone enable ambient conditions to permit for an early warning.
