Any time something is pro calibrated I just find it too warm. I usually tweak the wb warmer than it comes from the store but pro's push it way, way too warm for me.

The AVS forums have calibration and reference standards for most TVs. Takes 30 minutes to tweak the main- and sub-menus and you'll have 90% of what the pros can do for free. Then you can adjust if you like your picture warmer, cooler, sharper, etc. But at least your starting off with a reference standard.

Two other considerations, and why I ended up with Samsung this time. Most Led screens are very reflective. The Q80 and above have a very anti reflective screen. I needed that for a super bright two story family room.

Also, the upscaling on the faster processors is much better. The less expensive models with the slower processors don’t upscale HD as good so regular HD doesn’t look as nice.

Just a few other considerations.

Reflections are A BITCH. My plasma is brutal for it, great picture but with light coming through the window it is just terrible.

One thing ive found is LG has far better viewing angles than samsung does. Currently have a samsung and i pretty much have to be facing directly at the tv to see it well. My LG i had previously could be almost sideways and it was still great

Bought a Samsung when we "cut the cord" and went to YouTube Live. Turns out YTL doesn't play nice with many Samsung models - channels cut out all the time. Switched it out for another make and have had no problems.
