Bought the chemical guys random orbital polisher package for $129 I think. GF was not happy when informed that her F30 would be the training ground before we move on to dad's and my cars.

Only deal i found that i actually acted on was the Raspberry PI 3 model B board for $20; ended up buying everything needed for the DIY PTF Wifi box for under $35

She actually suggested my E70 - which would make perfect sense - but I countered with you know sweetheart that doesn't have modern paint on it we really need to be as similar as possible to the good cars.

I'm 99% sure she assumes I'll do a great job so she's going to be getting a free detail. So she thinks she's getting something good but making me feel bad about it so entitled to present as well.

The force is strong in her too...

Watch your speeds and which pad you are using. Very easy to cut through the clear coat using these things. Also, don't stay on an edge too long. Not trying to be the know it all guy but I learned the hard way on my G35.

Good buy though! What polish(es) did you buy to use?

Not sure there was a chemical guys 5 bottle "all you need" kit for $30 so I got that as well. Most cars are in good shape so I'll start playing with waxes first.

You're right my main concern was not making things worse by accident.

This are what I ordered today. I'm cheap but couldn't pass these deals up, lol.

I believe you need to be a Prime member, but I have a link for a free 30-day trial to bypass that if you're not already a member: https://amzn.to/2Lnf2Ql

Huge jugs of Castrol 5W-30 synthetic oil for only $22.14 at checkout! Ordered 3 so I'm set on oil changes for a while.
https://amzn.to/2LkpEiA

Awesome dash cam that's only $69 'til midnight, on sale from $150.
https://amzn.to/2LcUs51

Complete 16pc Chemical Guys car wash kit with foam canon for only $64, usually $100.
https://amzn.to/2NUnRiZ

70pc magnetic screwdriver kit for only $17. Good for all the torx bits on these damn cars.
https://amzn.to/2zOVGyU

I have a similar tool set and bring it everywhere. Has deep-well sockets, torx bits, etc. 192 pieces can fix just about anything on these cars for $148 at checkout.
https://amzn.to/2NZUQCa

My buddy bought this pressure washer for $200 a few months ago and said it kicks ass. It's half off right now.
https://amzn.to/2mpLTWz

12pc ratcheting wrench set for only $89 at checkout. These are convenient as hell.
https://amzn.to/2NWv164

Adjustable gear wrench set for $97 at checkout. Not a necessity, but will be nice to have at this price.
https://amzn.to/2L1BxLg

Probably their v series stuff. V 32 - 38 if I recall. It did a great job on my E93. I knocked down quite a bit of orange peel with some wet sanding and brought back the shine with this stuff. It did the job but very labor intensive. My only complaint on this stuff is that it's bad to leave a powdery residue on the first two stages and that stuff gets in every nook and cranny. Pro-tip: after your'e finished use an air compressor to blow out your seams and cracks really well and that should take care of it. If you have any white dust left over use a (VERY) soft bristled brush (without the metal bristle clamp) to clean any residual debris away. I think you'll be pretty happy with the end results. If you didn't happen to pick up any of their hex-logic pads, grab some! They are really good. Not a huge fan of all their products but they have some good stuff. That butter wax and then some jet seal leaves a nice shine after polishing.

Thanks for the tips! The polisher kit came with the machine, 5 different color hex pads then polishing pad conditioner and cleaner. Then I got the 4 bottle kit with 32/34/36/38.

I already had the wet mirror finish glaze (which is awesome), black light for the black cars, butter wet and the cleaner wax.

Whatever I cannot accomplish with that arsenal just isn't getting done. My garage looks like the goddamn chemical guys aisle at pep boys.

Mine looks the same way. I used to detail cars out of my garage though so I still have a lot of product laying around on the shelves. I haven't tried black light as I fell in love with a wax called Liquid Glass a few years ago. A customer of mine requested it for his car and I've used it on mine since. Sadly, I have the last bottle I know of in existence and just happened to find it on a shelf at a mom and pops car store.

I'm a firm believer that the Chem Guys should start sending us t-shirts after a $50 purchase. If we're going to rep their shit might as well clothe us and get some from free advertising out of it as well.

There you go! That's the spirit! I did the same a few years ago. I bought the first android tablet that had an HDMI out. Android had an app for it that you could remote control it from your phone. I set up VNC on it and used it as a media center for my bedroom tv and could control every computer in the house from it from my bed, using my phone as a remote and my tv as a monitor....my two boys hated me....it was fantastic fun.

This tablet hasn't been touched since 2013.

Quite disappointed for this year's Prime Day.

Only got a bathroom rug for $11 this year. You can do much better than this Amazon.

Holy $hit..

I really wanted to see what they have and after browsing pages and pages of random crap, I just gave up. I spent $10 on some microfiber wash detergent and a big bag of sun chips snacks. Things I hardly need but just bought because it's cheap.

I feel like unless you really know what you want and it just so happens to be on sale - it's just wasting time.

Maybe that or buy some Amazon devices... but they don't make anything that I want.

thats what happens when convenience gets in the way of logic... amazon grew because it became an online walmart where everyone purchased their useless junk on a one stop shop... its not even the cheapest all things considered... then amazon went further and effectively coerced everyone into having Prime
