That's what our dew point is. Actually a bit higher. Dew point this evening was 79F. Highest I've ever seen it here. Like a steam bath out there.

Our forecast for the next week can almost be called September-like, with low-70's F for this weekend and no day above 80 F.
NYC has not logged one 90+ F high for the month of August, and the long-term forecast says that it may be the first time since 2000 that the high never broke 90 F for the entire month if the forecasts prove out.....

Wait, what? You mean you're not having to tread water in the Great SoCal Flood of '23?

Apparently, we're supposed to get three full days of sunshine... In a row...
It was very nipply for my morning run with the T° at 4C with the windchill. |

Getting more liquid falling from the sky. Had a thunderstorm and heavy rain on the commute in this morning. The weather people are saying it's remnants of Hillary being pushed across the great lakes. Looking at the radar, it seems to be a coming from the top of lake Superior across.

It’s going to be a little hot and pretty humid in Chicago for the next two days and the news organizations are losing their minds. Be sure to check out the days after today and tomorrow. Seems like it was a little hot in Phoenix recently.

Heatwave is here with 27C on the scale and its set to continue, so some of the shrubs and plants will need watering later.

Yesterday in the Minneapolis area we hit 114 for the heat index. I think temp peaked at 98 degrees then add 16 degrees of "real feel" due to the crazy humidity. Same story for today. Tomorrow will be better.

Same here. Supposed to hit 100F ambient tomorrow. Heat index will be around 120F. It's brutal out there today and it's going to be worse tomorrow. I feel bad for the UPS/Fedex/delivery folks. Hot as hell in those trucks, I bet.

The car said 103° when I parked it this evening. Weather.gov said 94°. The car was on pavement, and a real weather reading takes place 5' above an unpaved surface. I split the difference. It was hot is all I know, with 46% humidity making it tolerable when hiking across the grocery store parking lot. Still, the outdoor workers and regular exercisers were out doing their things all day today.

I hobbled outside my building at work around noon today. It was sunny, comfortable temp/humidity, clean air, and with a refreshing cool breeze. The overnight low last night was 53 F, in case anyone was wondering.....

Leaves falling like crazy. Mother Nature, say it ain't so -- summer coming to an end. I love summer -- except for the hot spells.
