HOT! Epic humidity up in the mid 80% range. That makes 85° f feel like 114° f with heat index. I happen to be in southeast Oklahoma this week and the temperature is around 105°-106° f with heat index around 116°-117° f. Next week I am in the Twin Cities and it'll be in the 70s and low 80s.

After a warning of heavy storm with hail... For once they were right, nothing major around dice size hail.

The noise that it make in the solarium was unbelievable (roof is made of 2 sheets of aluminium sandwich between 1' of styrofoam). Tiggie bolded for the basement and only returned 45 minutes later.

Cool day at 23C with no rain and some sunshine, was perfect for repairing a small brick retaining wall part of which separated.

That does look intense; hope it passes by without too much damage.

We're looking for something similar to roll over us around 3 AM.

Lots of rain and noise. Not much wind. Much ado about nothing, but that beats the alternative.

Hope you have similar results.

Mid 80s and still no rain since May. Very pleasant, yet very dry. Forecast is for a possible light sprinkle tomorrow, then perhaps warming up to the 90s.

Wait is this "rain" thing you all keep talking about

69, with winds increasing this p.m. Just another day in paradise.

It said 40% chance of rain for this Thursday earlier this morning but now it just says cloudy.

I stayed up to see what would happen, and the forecast turned out to be a nothingburger.

We did get some good rain later, but without a lot of drama. That's what we like here.

Rain in SoCal in August!

Other than sprinkles, in how many years that you know of has your area received any meaningful precip in July or August (I'm thinking, like, more than 0.1" or 0.2")?

The remnants of Tropical Storm Eugene are expected to push some rain our way, but to answer your question, not much rain comes this way in August. We'll take what we can get, though.

Around 7:30 weather app warning me about imminent rain storm: to expect about 0.001"

We kept the sprinklers running on the grass at work . . .
