Pre workout is a scam, another form of addiction. A long time ago a tried an experiment. I tracked all my numbers while in the miserable weeks of cycling off the pre workout ( which most people don’t do correctly). Anyhoo, I found that my 1RMs and heavy working sets where not that much off from my numbers using pre workout. Conclusion....I ditched the pre workout. What I replaced it with was 1000 times better...BCAAs!!!! This gave me sustained strength and endurance through out my entire training session!!! My numbers went up along with 1RMs and PRs!!! Mixed with a little Coconut water and G2 it makes a great hydration replenishing fuel source to feed your body exactly what it needs during and post workout! I swear by it and have been using it for over 10 years! If I need a little pick me up I do a few sips of 5hr Energy. So ditch the pre workout and get on the BCAA/Amino Train! The shit works!

Current pre workout:
Optimum nutrition amino energy 2.5g Betaine 2.5g Creatine Hydrochloride 2.5g Beta Alanine Kind of nice to take a break from all the Huperzine, Alpha GPC, etc. and just get the mental boost from caffeine and beta alanine. |

i get easily wired taking 2 BCAA's pills - more than that and i'm overly wired for 2 days. everyone responds differently so find what works best for you. also if my cardio is where it should be - a little caffeine or bcaa's is more than enough.

I've used the same pre-workout combination for years, including during the time that I competed in Men's Physique. C4 and H:vol. Depending on the direction I am moving in terms of overall strength, cutting, bulking, or focusing on vascularity, I will modify my intake of peptides, BCAAs, or L-carnitine.

I use C4 & a BCAA. I use till the servings done (30 days), then take 3-4wks off to let my body adjust so that it doesn't become dependent on the pre-workout for energy.
Plus who really knows long-term effects lol

Well you're not wrong with this comment, DMAA is the shit, old formula Jaked3d was awesome. I'm past wasting money on pre-workout though, majority of formulas are 200mg+ of caffeine - I've seen up to 400mg. That's just absurd in my opinion. Making your body reliant on caffeine doesn't do wonders for your heart health. Just more reasoning why the entire fitness industry is a smoke and mirror shit show.

I don't drink caffeine. When I do take pre workout with caffeine I can't sleep, regardless of when I take it. I also never thought of pre workout as an aid for more gains. I workout directly after work so I just need something to give me a little pep, nothing else. Currently I use Nutrabio PRE Stim Free and it's been working well for that.
