Ya, I don't wanna raise your expectations, but I thought it was pretty good. They spoke in English for the most part (guess they wanted to reach a bigger audience), so that made it easier to follow.

Gibson and the late Heath Ledger are excellent in this.

Watched X yesterday and really enjoyed it. While its a bit of a slow burn at first with building tension, once it gets to the slasher part of the film it really gets good. Great directing and cinematography too, and an interesting contrast between the first and second half of the film.

I mentioned this a couple months ago. This film had one of the most unsettling scenes of any movie in recent memory. Hint... It involves the elderly.
But overall, a solid and entertaining addition to the slasher/horror genre.

I agree definitely unsettling but it proved a point that I think Ti West was trying to make.

* SPOILERS *

Pearl simply wanted sex like anyone else does in life, and shouldn't be denied it because she's old. When we see the younger porn stars doing it, the movie shows it off in a more sexy and fun way, tons of colors and bright lights. But when Pearl who's elderly finally gets to be satisfied, the viewers want to shy away and see it in a darker and disturbing way.

Charlton Heston is Will Penny, a down on his luck older cowboy getting a rough ride looking for work in 1880's Montana.

Yeah, I don't think most people would find sexual assault funny these days. The first time I saw it, I was young enough I didn't really understand the nerd pretending to be someone else to get in her panties and how bad that is.

Everything else I still laugh at.

I watched Windfall yesterday morning while waiting for the better half to get back from Dallas. Definitely a slow burn, but it was interesting enough.

Production had to be super cheap with one location and only 4 actors in the entire movie.

The Guilty was pretty good, if you haven't seen it. Jake Gyllenhaal is a 911 operator, entire movie takes place inside the office. Pretty good IMO.

Also finally watched Prisoners with Jake and Hugh Jackman, also a good movie.

Prisoners is massively underrated. Crazy tension throughout the entire movie. Gyllenhaal and Jackman both gave amazing performances.

This looks good but I suspect a massive ending twist that makes the rest of the movie totally irrelevant.

I think the ending works. Watch it and see what you think.

I don't want to reveal anything but the ending goes with the rest of the movie.

Jake g is probably my favorite actor. He was awesome in prisoners. Night crawler is another of my favorites.
