Agreed. Single Barrel is my favorite expression, but you can't go wrong with any of the four.

Thanks for the response. I expected this to taste similar to bourbon but I was so wrong. Just as you suggested Hawkeye, it's....different, and I like it.

During the summer of '96 I did a 10 week internship at Johnson Space Center in Houston. The NASA engineers had a really good band and they'd hold LDEF parties (Let's Do-it Every Friday) every week. I was the official mixologist. Due to my Boston accent, they'd advertise Mahk's Mah-Gah-Ritas in the party flyers. Well here's a Flashback Friday to those days. Enjoying the first Mah-gah-rita of the season.

Clase Azul Repo is one of my absolute faves... it gets a bad wrap amongst tequila snobs for not being pure as many believes that it has a flavor additive of some sort that adds that sweetness. IMHO, it's one of the best...

This and Don J 1942 from the mainstream tequilas for sure.

Don't know. When I tried it a few years back, I proclaimed it the Best Tequila I have EVER tasted. A few bottles later... It still is.

Apparently that TGX beer I posted above sells for ~$250 a bottle on secondary... it was fantastic but not $250 good.... no beer is. SMH.

Neither. But if doing ice, do a large piece instead of a lot of smaller ones (they melt faster and dilute the whiskey).

I like cubes better as they are easier to make, and that is about the only reason why, but only really for gin and tonics and old fashions.
