Another 1/4" of rain since midnight. The rain and clouds broke enough around 3 PM so that the Blue Angels could fly their air show routine today.....

Mostly sunny and stinko humid here today, with the high reaching 86F with humidity over 75%. I was working out in the driveway on the getting-mightier Freightliner for a few minutes at a time.
On the bright side, the air show had decent weather for today's performances.....

Had a pretty good storm roll through this morning around 9am with a few lightning strikes in the farm field across from my office. Last night around 11pm we had some continuous thunder that just seemed to keep going and going.
Looking like one or two clear days this week with a lot of rain. |

Since 4PM, 10 minutes of piss down rain followed 20 minutes of thunder followed by another 10 minutes of piss down rain and so on. No break in the horizon

Sunny and 62 at the beach. June Gloom has left us for a while. When I get home it's generally sunny and mid-70s. Inside will be 73. . .

June (gloom) is practically over. Been sunny here for several days.
Sunny and 78°F right now, high is predicted to be 83. Going to the park this afternoon. July 4th weekend will be in the mid 90s, with July 4th being 89°F. Not so bad... yet. I'll take it (no choice, lol). |

More thunderstorms approaching now, with on/off rain mixed with sun all day.
The governor has issued an alert for two more days of Canadian forest fire smoke on Wednesday and Thursday, but the AQI does not look as bad as the 400+ count we were seeing two weeks ago.....

Lots of smoky haze again today. Air quality is "Very Unhealthy." We have an air purifier in the living room with an AQ sensor in it. I opened a window in the adjacent sunroom and within minutes the sensor in the purifier kicked it into high gear. I closed the window and the purifier went back to its normal near-silent operation within a minute or two.
No riding outside today. I rode 22 miles outside yesterday and today I feel like I have a mild chest cold. We need some rain and a change in the wind direction.
