I think it's a good car for it's price point
The m2 was compared favorable to the m3 becuase of it's lower price point ( ~$52k ) and it's short wheel base making it more agile . It had a lower spec N55 and less power but people looked past it because it was more "fun" to drive The new Supra is even faster than the NEW S55 m2 comp , shorter wheel base 97.2vs.106 and the better "lower" spec B58 compared to the other N55 It even outpaces the m2C on the 'ring at 7:40 For a measely $50k it's the bargain car IMHO |

No f**king way. BMW couldn't even sell Z4 M Coupes at $56,000. They sold so POORLY at that price that they had to put a $10,000 trunk cash for them to sell. Effectively dropping the prices down to $46,000.
Price a Z4 M at $80K? They'll sell exactly ZERO when the M4's base price is cheaper than that.

I don’t get all the fuss. It’s about as striking as a BRZ.

The fuss is about Toyota screwing (or not screwing) this up. The last iteration of the car remains a legend so it had massive shoes to fill.

Makes you understand how good Chevy is with the Corvette, Porsche is with the 911 and Jeep is with the Wrangler. Each of them are icons and the next one is better than the previous model. Toyota screwed this up by being lazy. They took WAY too long to return with the Supra and ended up cheaping out by making it a sibling of a German roadster. As Dr. Phil would say "What the hell are you thinking?" Honda is doing something similar. They overthought the NSX and took way too long to reintroduce it. When they did, they lost the vast majority of buyers. It's overly complicated for the sake of being overly complicated. They got caught up in the "tech" of the day instead of producing another icon.

Damn I hate those little winglets. I'd have to buy a black one just to hide em.

It just makes it look like it's missing the lower element. Hadn't noticed those before. I also wildly hate stupid parking sensors. Just give me a front camera and leave those dumb looking circles off. Nearly as bad as clear bra.

Here a Supra, well... if it looked like this, I'd shut up about it being so ugly.

This will look great in black. Not that it looks bad in color, but it was just look menacing in black.
