Image size is HUGE. Try 1024p as a practical posting size.
I assume you were trying to fill on the right side of the car and it looks like you didn't get enough light over there. That overhead light is so bright that it shortens your exposure too much, I suspect.

I resized the image, but not sure if I did it right? I actually combined 6 different shots with different exposures to make this photo. One of those 6 shots had the side of the car lit, but I accidentally left a light trail with my flashlight (you can see it on the door). I tried to clone it out, but I'm not skilled enough with that tool to pull it off. So I just underexposed it to make it less noticeable. I wish I would've caught that when I was shooting! I'll learn from my mistakes and won't let that happen next time |

Another option might have been a long exposure, with light painting and then turn that bright overhead light on for a very short while. You needed to take eight or ten different exposures, playing with ISO and your lights. That's the way you learn. Keep it up.

One of those long exposure shots was supposed to light up the side of the car, but that shot came with a streak on my door from my flashlight being pointed at the camera. I could bump the exposure of that shot to brighten up the side of the car, but then the streak becomes too noticeable? I PM'ed you a different version of the picture. I need feedback from experienced photographers such as yourself, but also don't want to fill the thread with multiple pictures of my car lol. |
