I'm finished with WW season 2. Much like Star Trek - NW, I am taken back by the opening scene. In WW, even with the advanced technology they demonstrate with the building of the hosts, to imagine that the intricacy of biology allows (some of us) the dexterity to play a piano, the ability to see, a magnificent buffalo to pound across an open prairie. Just that is worthy of watching/being reminded.
Then we get to examine some of the intricacies of our internal minds, our interactions with others, the way we suppress many of our demons.

I'm sure a lot if not all of you have seen it already but I recently watched Top Gun: Maverick. Gotta say, I was impressed, I really really enjoyed it. I expected it to be nothing but fan service a la Star Wars:TROS but it was just the right amount of callbacks without over doing it while telling an entertaining story. The flight scenes IMO were absolutely nuts. Probably gonna watch it again.

Family and I watched Top Gun Maverick: IMAX Edition last night.
Tom Cruise is still doing it at a very high level at this age! Much Respect! The entire movie was fantastic. |
