Thanks for that! High time BMW got on board.

I see that, while diesel engines are being prioritized across the board (for obvious reasons), they are starting with vehicles in the 5 and 6 families for gasoline engines. It makes sense that larger, heavier vehicles might benefit more, but it’s interesting that the 7, 8, and X7 gasoline engines aren’t in the initial batch. No V8s either.

I think the real emphasis here is on European bestsellers.

Why would they ship 48V on all Diesels except the 330d or did you omit it by accident? Even more so as other models do seem to get a 30d 48V, like the 5er, X3 or X5 etc.

Good point. Although it would still be a little surprising to me to know that the 540i, 640i, X5 40i, and X6 40i are significantly more popular than the 740i, 840i, and X7 40i in Europe. I'm sure the diesels are more popular in all models, but I would expect that, when the 6 cylinder petrol models do sell, it would be the case for the 7/8 families as much as (if not more than) the 5/6 families.

I was wondering the exact same thing.

I've cleaned up the SOP list a little bit. For example, M8GC was missing altogether - its SOP is in November.

I had a drive in the M135i xDrive followed by drive in the M235i xDrive. The M235i is exceptional. North America is really going to love that car. It will appeal to new customers.

Are you referring to the M235i Gran Coupe, Scott?

I don't know why, but all F22's except M240i (and F87 M2C) can't be ordered/configured in Germany anymore. Thought EOP was in 2021?

Any information on what will happen with the i3? Are 2020s starting production soon? When is the EOP? Thanks.

I noticed the same. Maybe they lack production capacity at the Leipzig plant where they also produce the new 1-series.

If that's the case that would he really stupid planning on BMWs side? Also, even if thats the case I think they'd still accept orders and probably just increase the shipping/production time.

On the other side though, you can still configure them on the swiss website

MY2020 starts in November and goes until October 2020. That will be just over seven years since it started production back in July 2013. It's not known how much longer BMW intends to produce this vehicle, but I would not be surprised to see it go into 2021 or beyond. BMW is reportedly developing an electric version of the next 2 Series AT, which could eventually pick up the torch from the i3, but it will not be on the market for at least a couple more years.

An MY2020 production schedule I've seen specifies that the X3 30e will begin production 12/20 for MY2020. Just thought that was worth mentioning.

I wonder if the US will get the X1 28e (25e elsewhere)? BMW released official information on it yesterday, but nothing for the US. Some sources seem to think that it won't come to the US at all.

Any idea when the G05 X5 ends production? I notice it's the only major product that doesn't have an end date listed in the first post.

That may be true. It's not totally clear to me if it will start as MY2020 or MY2021. I do know it's going to become available in early 2020, and, with December SOP, January or February is when it should show up in the dealerships.

I wasn't keeping track of that, but now that you've mentioned it, I've looked, and those sources are correct.

Is the G31 only getting a 530e model no G31 545e planned? That seems to be the consensus on another forum I read.

I´m a sucker for this thread, love it and hope to get a helping hand;

we need to renew our lease for the X1 in March 2020 and considering the phev.
Maybe we need to expand the old lease that´s no problem.

But dealer has yet no clue when ordering and shipping starts.
Edit: if the timeline dosen´t match, we have to order the new X1 in November 19 to get it in time 3-20.

Can you please give me a hint when ordering and shipping starts
(for the eu)

That would be highly appreciated. Thanks for this great thread and informations!!!!!!

Do we know if the 2021 M2 is CS/CSL only or will the "base" M2C also be available?
