Motorcycles and DSLR HDR
My first attempt at HDR, using 2 exposures. I go out on the weekends on the bike and take my gear with me. When my buddy comes along we have more gear, including 2 580EXII's and a wireless transmitter for OCF.
The below shot was actually out of my friend's 5d Mark II and he gets credit for the angle and setup, although bouncing the flash off the wall toward the ceiling was my idea. Still very much learning OCF and having a great time with it. Motorcycles and DSLR HDR by ddk632, on Flickr I am not a fan of overcooked HDR so I did my best to make this one realistic while retaining that pop factor. What do you guys think? I have begun scanning film negatives and the first roll that I did the other day was of Whistler, BC while skiing back-of-mountain double-blacks somewhere, with expansive snow-covered mountains and glaciers; it was simply breathtaking to be there. I've got Banff as well but can't remember if I have any good photos, if any at all. Once I clean up my scans I'll post some up here. These are film shots from 10-12 years ago, but because of the scenery they are still some of my favorite shots that I've taken to date. Thanks for posting that! |

Thanks guys. Really happy to see how sharp it turned out. Could have done better tho; since I forgot my UV filter on and also forgot to activate mirror-up. Oh well.
I'm really working hard on my patience while shooting and its starting to pay off. Took me an hour an a half to get 8 of those 30 sec. shots. All the others were interrupted because of the trafic; its very crowded at times.

Our last day in London started out miserably cold and rainy. We attempted a walk in nearby Regents Park, but the rain was moving sideways and we were getting soaked (as was my camera case), so we decided to head back to the room. I'm trying to depict just how blah it was there, yet still leave an idea of the scale and beauty of the park.
