I think this is right... Somewhat. It's been a blur.
- 72 Ford Comet - 72 Ford Pinto with a 289.. Totally out of control and generally a bad decision.. - 86 Dodge Omni - 70 440 Cuda. Bracket car, totally undriveable on the street, doesn't really count. - 89 BMW 318 <- This is where it started........ Almost positive.. - 93 Nissan 4X Pickup - 92 Volvo 740 (Someone get married?) - 97 Honda Prelude Gen 5 (Someone get divorced?) - 11 Ford Ranger 4X Sport - 13 128i Bikes - 84 CB125 - 89 Honda CBR 600F - 99 CBR 919RR - 04 CB900F (For Sale) This thread made it interesting to look back at all of the weird crap that I have driven over the years.. I really had to think if I forgot something but it was a fond look back.. Best of all besides the 28i, which is yet to be seen, has to be the Prelude.. Incredible friggin car. Hated to get rid of it and still kick myself. Still love the new addition to the stable. Even though I told myself I would never buy black paint again, I did and love making it look like God and a few guys named "Klaus and "Dieter" intended.. |

Volvo XC70 2008. I'm used to 4x4 but now I bought a brand new BMW 320D (F31) which will be interesting to see how it works when the snow stars falling. I live in the northern parts of Sweden and now it got me thinking that I should have bought my bimmer with xDrive since we have pretty much 7-8 months of just pure winter.
I am extremely satisfied with my new bmw and will probably keep buying them. |

You get rid of 300 hp cars and drive SUVs and minivans haha. But since I got the Pilot and not an expensive SUV, in 2 years, I will get the BMW M4. That's why I decided to join this forum! My wife gives me a real hard time about how many cars/motorcycles and guns I go through.

My spouse and I tend to keep our cars for a long time. I have owned more than one car at a time but my spouse has always been a one-car-at-a-time person. We also very seldom drive each other’s car. The only exception has been the shared 1973 Corvette and 1991 Mazda Navajo.
Me (in order of purchase) 1966 Pontiac GTO – 389 tri-power (three two-barrel carbs), 360 HP, 4-speed manual (a beast!) 1969 Corvette – 350 four-barrel carb, 350 HP, 4-speed manual 1962 Corvette – 327 four-barrel carb, 340 HP, 4-speed manual (bought to restore, never did) 1973 Corvette – 350 four-barrel carb, 250 HP, automatic (the only auto I have ever owned - got a great deal and bought it for resale but wound up keeping it for several years) 1980 Toyota Corolla SR-5 Hatchback – RWD, 5-speed manual (a great little car and my first “new car” purchase – kept it until 1991) 1986 Porsche 944 – 2.5L 150 HP, 5-speed manual (bought new – fun to drive but painfully slow – sold it to nephew in 1996) 1991 Mazda Navajo – 4X4, 5-speed manual (bought new – POS – got rid of it as soon as I could) 1992 Jeep Wrangler – 4X4, 5-speed manual (bought used from neice – fun to drive, great off-road vehicle and daily driver – sold it to a friend in 2011 to make room for the BMW I planned to purchase) 1993 Nissan Pathfinder SE – 4X4, 5-speed manual, leather and all the options (bought new – great truck and only one of a few in the USA with 4X4, 5-speed manual, and all the options – I still use it and just turned 60,000 miles) 2012 BMW E92 335i – xDrive, 6-speed manual, all the options (bought new for me as 37th wedding anniversary gift – love it as semi-DD and especially for holiday and other out-of-town trips) Spouse (in order of purchase) 1966 Pontiac Tempest Sprint – 230 IL 6, OHC, 207 HP, 4-speed manual (this was a great car, imagine an American car with an OHC engine in 1966 - the “little Sis” to the GTO!) List of cars and the length of ownership
1965 MGB - First car, loved it, broke down monthly 1981-1983 1979 Toyota Supra - Great car, almost totaled it, too much for a 19 yr old 1983-1984 1981 BMW 528i - First Bimmer, put 160k miles on it until it was too expensive to repair, in the shop monthly 1984-1995 1995 Nissan p'up - No idea why I bought it 1995-1996 1992 Acura Legend - A true LEGEND of a car, 200k miles later tranny went out and no rebuilds available 1996-2010 2009 Mercedes C300 - New job, New title, New car... great car, not too many perks, no issues at all (that warrenty did not cover) 2010-2013 2011 BMW 328i Convertible - Jones-en for a Convertible, love the color (mineral white/Oyster black w bamboo) 27k miles and a CPO... thought it was time to go back to the 'dark side' and play with the BMW again.
