I realized how old I am recently by declaring, on our company wellness conference call, that I would like to incorporate a post lunch nap time. My statement was not held in high regard from our Japanese owners.

Maybe this is just the Old Fart in me bitching about nothing (Get off my lawn!!), but I sometimes question the sanity of the general populous. We went to the local supermarket tonight to grab a few things. I parked next to an Altima that was locked but running. No one in it, but I could see from the tassel hanging from the mirror that the vents were blowing full bore. Mind you, it's in the 40's here, so no need to keep the heater running. We picked up 8 or 10 things and came back out to the car. Maybe 10-15 minutes. The Altima is still there running with no one in it.
Who the f**k leaves their car running for that long in a parking lot? WTF is wrong with people? I need to have a drink and chill. Huge hole in the bozone layer today, I guess.

Yeah, the good ol' days when I could go 48+ hours without sleep. Sometimes more. Can barely make it through a 16 hr day now.

These days, my doctors won't let me drive further than my 20 minute commute to work...and I'm winded when I get there. Now, if you'll excuse me, I'm off to bed at 8:30 PM.....

My dad and my uncle owned a cattle ranch in Havre, Montana back in the '70s through the '90s. Once every couple of weeks we used to start out on a Friday afternoon when Dad got out of school (he was a High School teacher as a hobby) in our 2 cattle semis and head out to the ranch to haul back a load of cattle. It was 13 or 14 hours depending on traffic and weather. We'd get there at about 6 AM and have a bite to eat and then start loading steers.
A couple hours later we were back on the road, headed to Northfield, MN. After a 14-hour drive we'd have to unload them, which took a couple of hours. It'd end up being about midnight on a Saturday night when it was all done. My old man had been up since 4 AM on Friday morning, and he'd invariably insist that we go out for beers afterward, where he would hold court and we'd recount the stories of the trip. He did this well into his 50s. He was a genuine badass - hit the beach at Inchon Korea in 1950 and came home 2 years later with a Silver Star and 2 Purple Hearts. And you'd never meet a humbler man. Cheers, Dad.

Platinum has heated, cooled, vented AND massage.
Yeah....I sit in the driveway before I come in ....since I'm not getting a massage inside... And remote start from the app that can be set to come on at a certain time every day.
