I solved this problem by joining a CrossFit gym, there's no way you can be on your phone/checking it or being a mindless dumba$$ if you're in a class.

People who track their progress with a pen and notebook. It doesn't really bug me, but I find it kind of funny. It's 2016 - you can do that digitally. I wonder why they aren't using a walkman instead of a phone for music.

Likely because how/what they want to track isn't well accommodated by the apps they can find. I have a similar problem. Old school is sometimes better depending on what you are looking for.

In that scenario i would take notes in the notepad on my phone (which is what I do) and when I get home, log it (which I don't do). Like I said, it's no biggy, just looks kind of funny when they have beats headphones and bluetooth audio streaming but still using pen and paper.

- I don't think tank tops are that much of an issue. Its more comfortable to work out in a tank top.
- Grunting - its natural but there are some that make it over the top.
- I personally look at the mirror the reason being is I want to see the muscle striations and the contraction and I use it as a way to visualize the goals I want. Sounds crazy but it helps motivate me to visualize and also it helps you to see what you need to bring up. i.e. left tricep is smaller than right tricep etc
- Agree on mean mugging

Nothing irritates me more when someone decides to do their dumbbell exercises right in front of the rack. Like can you not take 3-4 steps back?

To add to the thread... guys who take ab selfies in the mirror. Just shake my head and laugh right at them, I've always had a 6 pack and never felt the need to do that. How come hot chicks don't pull their stretchy pants down and take ass selfies in their thongs?!

As someone who used to be a skinny fat unattractive pile of poop, I actually like it when people look at themselves in the mirror or flex their abs a bit, etc. they put in a lot of hard work and dedication to get to that point (most likely, unless genetics are on point), so go ahead and show off what you worked hard for!!

But ONLY at the gym...don't lift your shirt up and start flexing abs walking down the middle of the street...
