Great to see PIA with his first win! Seems like a really good dude! Also love to have McLaren with a 1 - 2 finish. Seems like the 2nd half of the season is going to be really tight!

True. But there will also come moments when Lando will need Oscar in certain race moments. Now he can call in the favour.
So I can understand why Lando did it, but if he had done that right away, he would've had 15 laps or so to try and overtake Oscar.
Lando was faster in that last stint. So that was an error on his behalf imo.

they told both drivers to preserve tires, I think that played into why Oscar was slower than Lando.

For 2026 that might be the right call.
For 2026, the car that has the best engine will be the best bet. Aerodynamics will change too, but that's way more of a gamble on who will perform best in that field. Especially as most teams seem to get the hang of it.

But It's not confirmed (yet)
MAX got some Honda PU issues in this race , with his brakes too .

And that means a 10P grid penalty for MAX (!)

MAX race was a mess today and the RB strategy too ...

The McLarens will be extremely hard to beat , for the rest of this season .

The best car and driver won today . Congrats for Oscar Piastri

Didn't they pit NOR first to cover HAM with the understanding they would swap back

That's the way I heard it

Hopefully PIA will repay the favor at some point. That kinda sucked for Norris.

Yes, that was the reason to give Lando the undercut.
And then Lando prooved to be much faster than Oscar.

I think McLaren made a mistake.
Lando was around 85 points behind before today.
With 12 races to go, that's a possibe to overcome gap.
Now they missed 7 points in that (so the gap could've been 69 points, instead it's now 76 points). With that attitude.....are you still gonna win?
Winning a championship revolves around scoring maximum when your main competitor is down (and this was a very bad day for Max/RB).
We'll see at the end of the year how costly this mistake was.

Spa is next weekend and isn't that a 5 place drop when engine allocation is first exceeded..aha I see its 10 at first then any more swaps after that are 5 drops.

There are more races to go and he will return the favor down the line if the drivers championship is closer

oh, I agree it was a mistake. McLaren was being TOO conservative trying to lock down a team 1-2....In reality I don't think HAM was a threat.

Could be a deciding factor but the question being are McLaren gonna continue like this, a first 1-2 for them since the eighties? is not a green light for them to all of a sudden be winning more than just a couple.

HAM saw him and tripped MAX up but his car will be checked and with no bits falling off I think it's all good, it's not like a Checo collision

Yeah she'll be under pressure now but really not her fault with MAX saying from the start the car upgrades though looking dramatic are not great and not a lot of time to sort it for Spa.

So far ..The Red Bull Team is in deep 5H1T ...
MAX was right : The RB20 upgrades have made the car slower .

I think : The RB20 setup is still a mess ...
They can't fix this in one week for SPA .

McLaren will rule again (!)
The balance of this car is a masterpiece of engineering ...

This is a high speed track and all I'll say Wache better get his act together with this aero stuff as so far he is not been very convincing in his position.
