The Irish Whiskey shelf at Binny's today. That Proper Twelve on the edge of the pic was under $20, so that's all I grabbed. I was tempted by some of the higher end stuff, but I wasn't in a spending mood today. Add 10% tax onto all those listed prices.

Looks like my wine/liquor room. HAH. Those are some great whiskeys. Proper has went down in price lately, I jumped on a case last week or so and got additional 10% off!
Added a recent pic of a small portion of my collection.

Interesting, I still find myself reaching for for the Proper at times. For the cost, it’s pretty good go-to.
Yellow Spot is the sweet spot though, and RB 12 Cask Strength. Those are my two faves.

Sweet, the Coors Light of Irish whiskey! Love it.

How is the Knob Single Barrel?

I like it. It's kind of my go to or makers mark. Have some ghost hammer ipa also tonight but need to temper as have heavy leg day tomorrow.

How is that writers tears. Sounds like a nice Hemingway or Fitzgerald drink.

One bottle of Yellow Spot and one of RB 12 Cask Strength would have run me damn near $200. I'm not averse to spending the bucks when I'm in the mood for a really good dram. I used to drop a ton on Plantation 20 and A'bunadh some weekends. But right now I'm in a miserly mood and I do like the Proper Twelve, so that carried the day.

Yeah I drink far less than I used to because of my training. Should quit altogether but that's just crazy talk.

That's one reason I don't drink my beloved IPAs regularly. Way too many calories.

Yeah hard to get all my macros, ipa isn't exactly an ideal carb. Not really worried about calories, trying to be halfthor junior.

Writers Tears is good, but for the price I’ll buy something else next time. Not a bad bottle to have on hand though.

You had nikka? Having bit of proper 12 again. It's okay just seems plain. Think for cheap prefer Jameson but would have to back to back it.

I looked at a bottle of the Jameson's IPA Cask tonight but passed it up. They were asking too much for it.

Yeah, I have a bottle of Nikka, not sure I’d buy it again. I have the Coffey Grain bottle.

Sounds like it’s time for a taste test kind of night. Do it all blindfolded and let us know how it goes.

Wow, 6 entire 5% ABV beers and you're not drunk? You must be, like, superhuman.

Put down the skunk water and get some decent beer. You're in SoCal, for Christ's sake.....
