Damn! Circuit looks pretty freakin’ good for FP3! I’ve been to Vegas over 20 times and I still have a hard time wrapping my head around how they actually managed to create the track! Pretty darn creative!

Yes but most of them are dead or entered the walking mummie stadium (ecclestone).
However interesting that you mention Briatore, the only one that can be considered alive of the bunch.
Wasn't he banned from doing official business within F1 by the FIA after crashgate...but still can be found on the gridwalk every other race?

Believe it or not, Briatore is big buddies with Wolff.
And apparently Stefano Domenicali also belongs to that little group.

For his Toto Wolff impersonation he needs to use a more affected Austrian Schwarzenegger accent. Steiner is from Merano (Northern Italy) where both Italian and Austrian is spoken (also explaining his funny Austrian accent and hallmark rolling 'r').

I think in the FP3, where it was also very slippery, is that that was also due to normal traffic driving the track during the day.
Is that normal?
For instance in Monaco, do they open up the track for normal traffic between say FP, qualifying and race?
Are they also gonna open up the track in vegas between qualifying and the race?
To me that seems like a really odd and risky thing to do. I mean normal traffic polluting the track, leaking oil coolant and whatnot with crashes etc.

I don't think so, they are real stick in the mud when they want to be and it only needs one team to object (Merc) and SAI will remain 10 down to whatever his quali position is.

Normal traffic won't run the track asphalt warmer , and they don't leave the necessary rubber layer at the track .

I can only hope it comes to that, and let MERC object... for the world then to see who they really are....

I think it's a shame that someone who's the victim of a serious track safety situation, the track literally breaking up/coming apart 8 minutes in in FP1, potentially due to shortened track inspections because the ceremony and all other commerical activities were prioritized, gets a grid penalty in order to fix his car.
