Yeah, makes sense. I just wonder if they're going to build some production to standard spec for some dealer spec? Of course the odds that they'd build stripper two door manuals is probably close to zero.

Anyone can jump in and reserve a Bronco today. They will get in back of the line and not get MY '21 locked-in pricing. Ford just announced it will be producing some dealer stock units with part commodity availability that does not match any customer orders currently in the Ford production system. The vast majority of production for the next 18 months will be filling customer reservation-order commitments. I reserved last September and ordered in March. I'm in line at my selected dealership's allocation allotment for a model year 2021, but my configuration is a 2-door middle trim level. So depending on when the hard top is available, my build will probably arrive late this year. Last edited by Efthreeoh; 06-29-2021 at 05:50 AM.. |

I am a fan of what I see but there is no way in hell id jump on a first or second year run. Once the bugs are shaken out and the Wathog is officially announced I may give it a try. That is if I dont jump into the new Raptor R first.
I've had my Wrangler for a number of years and although fun the quality of parts\materials and ride comfort leaves a lot to be desired. No more straight axle for me. |

There are no Bronco demos for sale. Only a few early reservationists have received their retail Broncos this week. Not even dealerships have their mannequins at this point. Ford just declared "okay-to-sell" two weeks ago.
The lowest priced trim is a no-options 2-door for $29,995 and called Base trim. A $42K Base would have the Sasquatch package, which is a 2.7L V6, automatic transmission, with 35" tires on a lifted suspension. The part shortages are the 2.7 V6, Sasquatch package, and 2-door hardtop. The 2.3K MT Base without Sasquatch has open diffs both front and rear and is the $29.9K stripper model |

Mark my words .. it’s only a matter of time until the recall(s) start. Btw it’s not just “parts from the ranger”. There are countless parts that are unique to the Bronco and it only takes one of them to fail/malfunction to cause an issue. The Ranger doesn’t have any removal body parts which alone can cause issues. Last edited by BMWBear; 06-29-2021 at 09:10 PM.. |

Research what? The Bronco is hardly in the hands of the consumer. I've got one on order, so I've researched it pretty well. So again, what are you scared of? I already mentioned the real new parts that are a little concerning: roofs, doors, and manual transmission. The axles and diffs are not new. The engines have been out in other Ford products for 5 years or more. Springs, shocks all common stuff from reputable suppliers. Supposedly the new Explorer launch was plagued with problems, but that is the Explorer, not the Bronco. You make it sound like the Bronco will fall apart in the first two model years, no new model does that. I have a 1st-year E90, bought new 15 years ago, it's been the longest lasting car I've owned and had no more problems than the later model years, probably less actually. The Chinese built Getrag is a new design not related to the MT-88 in the Mustang. It may be a concern, but it's a Getrag, which in the end makes a good product. Of the reports I've read, the MIC hard top seems leak-free at this point. The door design seems well thought out; maybe I'd have a little concern over the harness connector longevity, but I'm sure it's designed and tested for thousands of disconnect cycles. The Ford Dealership I work for just got their first Bronco Friday Morning. The one we got is a big bend with the sasquatch package, LED Headlights, Ford performance heavy-duty modular, and cargo area protector. It's Race Red on Medium Sandstone with Black Onyx cloth seats.
Man that thing is nice. $48k sticker doesn't seem too bad. Obviously, whoever ends up buying it or any Bronco, is going to be paying over sticker. We're probably going to add a bunch of accessories and whatnot to it before we sell it. We can't sell it until it doesn't have 6k miles on it per Ford. So, as of right now, it's going to be a service loaner and a car each salesman can take home. |

Very cool, thanks for sharing.
I want a two door, base model in the worst way. By the sounds of it, that decision had to be made months if not more than a year ago. Wont be able to just show up and buy one of these on the lot for a while apparently. For domestics, I would consider myself a GM product fan overall but when it comes to the remake of the Bronco vs. the Blazer... Ford absolutely embarrassed Chevrolet by staying true to their roots with a genuine modern take on the original tough truck whereas Chevy slaps the Blazer name on a midsize crossover. A far cry from the K5 Blazer from days gone by. |

Yes I’ve seen it. Looks a little gimmicky. Like a Toyota FJ Cruiser.

First saw what I think was a concept of the new Bronco in the movie "Rampage" with Dwayne Johnson. Looked pretty cool.

I would like to see and drive one but my as built price is $53k... not really within my range of what I would consider a "bronco" to cost.
