I also have extended wear contacts and sleep in them for extended periods of time. The only time contacts really bug me is during allergy season. My eyes get dry and itchy. Gets very uncomfortable. |

silvergray545 - I was -4.5 in both eyes...couldn't see the odometer from the drivers seat without glasses or contacts.
shoei - I wasn't cheap, just had a $1,500 'discount' fall into my lap |

OK!!! I'll share to prove I am not a cheap ass...
silvergray545 and shoei and jtodd_fl..... Fuq'rs!!! I partially paid for my Lasik with employer stock options (1/2), and the remainder with my FSA. I had the procedure the first week of January. I also had an annual health care plan that ran on a calendar year. I was able to fully fund the FSA for the expense and pay this back over the 12 month year - interest free. In the middle of the year - I left this particular company (Large Regional Bank) for another bank. I had already advanced 100% of the FSA funds to pay for the procedure - but I had only paid back 1/2 of the money when I left....basically, the company wrote 100% of the remaining amount off against all the unclaimed/unused FSA funds. Lesson here - sometimes it is better to be lucky than good |
