Other day at the gym. Thought I've seen everything. Very thin build dude is doing bench presses but finds it necessary to use chalk for 135lbs. And that's as much weight he ends up using.
A major annoyance are a couple of individuals (mainly this one upper middle aged woman) who feel they own the entire gym. The worst offender is this aforementioned woman. I've witnessed her on a number of occasions hog up 3 different workout stations/equipment at the same time. And taking her time using each one. So in essence this one person prevents the use of said equipment for almost an hour. |

Middle-older aged guys who are mad about their age and try to lift way more weight than they are capable of and use horrific form and technique while grunting LOUDLY with each rep.

It's the amount of momentum and 'body english' that they use that drives me nuts. Using every muscle except the group that is supposed to be focused.
I guess at least they aren't doing their 'curls' in the squat rack...

Things that annoy me at the gym? The whole fucking place and every rude, sweaty, stinky son of a bitch in it. The incredible racket made by a bunch of vain people trying to look tough but merely looking foolish. Which is why I cut and split firewood, shovel snow, do my own carpentry and landscaping and yard work, do calisthenics, ride bike 50-70 miles a week and walk 15 miles most weeks. I look like I work out, but I just work.

Now that Christmas is over, within a week we'll start seeing the "New Year New Me" folks come in. They'll be there for maybe 2-3 weeks. The gym gets so packed that getting a workout in takes way longer. Plus, you know they have to snapchat at every machine to let everyone know they're working out.
