It is definitely warmer today than yesterday, feels closer to mid 30's not early 30's. Still quite dry though, not toronto sticky, humidity at 43% so not sure where this MONUMENTAL humidex reading is coming from.

The humidity is adding 7C according to the weather site ,but you're right, it doesn't feel humid like some years. The sun feels more intense today and going into the shade cools things down. So that's dry heat.

That's kinda my point, there's no subtly to the humidex, at 43pc it is adding what, 20pc to the air temp which is a bit much.

Parents hitting up the group chat to cancel baseball training at 630 pm. How about a hat and water bottles. FFS, this is what i mean, turns everyone into maude flandererererers.

It's now that time of year in Oklahoma and for the next couple of months where the AC basically runs 22 hours a day. When I woke up this morning just before the sun came up it was still 79 outside.

Yeah, no thunder/lightning that I could detect, but He-UUGE drops of water, just falling out of the sky this morning.

We have a young temp working in the building: "Hey, go look outside! Have you ever seen rain?"

She humors the old man and says "You're right, I'm only 21, I've never seen rain before"

We've had highs only in the 60's F (under 20 C) all week. I've got the central AC off and windows open right now...and it's still an hour before sunset.....

Where about in North America are you? 28c @ 6.30am is insane. We are currently hitting 22c w/clear, sunny skies in winter. Our cold winds will arrive in August, as they always do.

I live at the boarder of Stoney Creek and Grimsby Ontario.
I don't know if you know where that is, but I'm approx. 40km from Niagara Falls and 60km from Toronto, and approx. 10km from Hamilton.

Yesterday felt hotter than Tuesday.
When I got home.

I suspect Dino's car is over inflating the morning number a bit, it was a hot day, topped out around 35, but I don't think the morning was that hot.

It could be. But don't forget that you're 60+ km north of me.
I felt the heat a soon as I opened the door yesterday morning.

Yeah I just checked, it was 27 at 8am here so 6am at your place seems possible. It's weird, back home if it was 28 at 6am we would sail past 40 (air temp) but it capped out at 36 yesterday.

Baseball went ahead, kids were fine. Big hat, lots of water, more hitting and pitching that base running but still, the maude flanders were out in force on the chat.

SO I think this is where I get a bit lost with the HUMIDEX. Yesterday was 35, they said HUMIDEX or "felt like" 44. So 9/35 is 26%. Humidity topped out at 44%. Today, it is 21, "feels like" 24 so only a 15% climb, and humidity is 63%.

My bug bear is these insane Humidex reading has all the Karen's running around saying it's "45 degrees" when it doesn't feel anywhere NEAR 45 degrees. They start doing things like cancelling baseball or whatever so our kids can get more device time.

Only 86 with reasonable humidity. Nice enough to put the top down and drive to our local sub shop to pick up lunch.

Had so much thunder last night. More than I think I ever heard all in a row.

Later went for my nightly walk and it was thick with humidity. Was dripping when I got home.

Was 114 in Tehran on Sunday. Arrived in San Francisco on Tuesday and it was around 90. Still too hot for my liking.

We did get a little rain, not much. Mostly thunder and lightning.

I have discovered once again that I can control the local weather. Had too much money in my health FSA that was about to be "use it or lose it" lost, so I ordered a crazy pair of prescription glasses with every coating known to man on the lenses. I have my doubts that the auto-tint function will work through a car's windshield, and want to test it to see. The glasses came in on Tuesday morning. The sun hasn't been out for one second since.....
