Yeah that's how I used to eat them, but that adds an additional step that I don't feel like doing, most of the time. Lol.

Mediocre Pop Tart RIGHT NOW > Slightly less mediocre Pop Tart in 5 minutes after actual effort.

I concur. Toasted Poptarts go better with ones favorite morning beverage than raw.

Aliens have no sense of hot and cold, so this makes sense.

He must be a cold-blooded creature.

On that note, in Jurassic World, why did they try to find their cold-blooded super dino with IR cameras? That doesn't make sense.

IR doesn't just show heat, it shows the difference between temperatures.

Look at the gator compared to the background in the second picture, that's what I'm talking about!

Yes, but the top pictures shows the gator in it's natural environment. The 98.6 degree human skews the more slight contrast between the gator and the back ground. Take the large human anomaly out of the image and the contrast between the gator and background becomes more evident.

Entire scale is 72F to 82F in the top photo. Much better fine-grained contrast. I thought these may have been you on a glades trip, then when I went to reply, I saw the links... we need to go gator tipping!

Sure scaling is a factor in the image. Alligators sun themselves to get warm too, and we don't have the context of that image.

I'm saying a cold blooded animal under the canopy of trees and brush with no sun is basically in an isothermal enclosure. So if there's low heat generation from the animal's metabolism, it should very nearly reach equilibrium with its surroundings, which would not show up well in infrared.

Not a dinosaur expert.

The context of that image is two juvy gators sitting in shallow water.

You are correct in that they will very nearly reach equilibrium with it's surroundings. Though the canopy of trees will be absorbing the sun and therefore be of a different temperature.

My esteemed Floridian brother from another mother pointed out that from the darkest point in that top image to the brightest point in that image is only a 10 degree F difference. Yet the image shows a HUGE contrast. A far greater contrast than when much warmer human is in the second image, thus expanding the scale.

The capability of the IR is very sensitive and will easily show the slight difference between a very large dino and it's surroundings. But clearly not that uber smart GMD.

Genetically Modified Dino

Rode 40 miles and climbed 1700 feet on Saturday. Then on Sunday did 20 miles on the same trail i'd been on many times before. Ended up averaging 1.5mph faster than ever before on that section of trail. I feel like they're getting stronger, but i'm not seeing much of an aesthetic difference, other than a touch more definition.

Cardio is a whole other story. I'm probably in the best cardio shape of my life and only after 4 months of steady riding. Funny though, i was riding with the wife the other day and she wore her HR monitor. I AVERAGED 158bpm and her MAX on that ride was 143bpm. lol I guess after 9 years of competitive riding you tend to have a solid cardio fitness base.

40 miles and 1700 feet of elevation being called hills.

But I am just messing with you.
