Yes, that should be savable. The white powdery stuff is the old battery acid and it is caustic. You want to have gloves and eye protection on. Then you need to clean it out. I would start with a knife and see if you can get the globs off the circuit board. Once they are out take a Q-tip with vinegar and clean the contact that is corroded. It should work.

Well, I have to get my taxes done at 10AM, and go to BMW to make sure that my correct order was placed, and then I have to do leg day, and then I have to go to my buddy's shop since one of our buddies with a G37S is getting some dumb CF shit installed.
Hopefully I don't have shit to do Sunday.

Since replacing my water pump, oil temp is much cooler at about 210*F vs 240*F before, but it's taking forever to warm up.
I wonder if my oil cooler thermostat is stuck? Or the new coolant tstat is stuck open? The interior heat kicks on what seems like a similar time as before. Wish there was a coolant temp gauge. |
