Been looking for a local used 10/22 as I should have kept my old ones, but everyone wants more than new cost. I may just buy the .22LR Savage model that Wal Mart sells & call it a day

I wouldn't sell a 10/22 or buy a used one, because nobody should sell a good 10/22.

Finally received my Ascend Armory receiver set. Probably have 2 weeks or so before JP finishes the barrel.

I am patiently (sort of) awaiting the next time the Benelli Supernova 12g goes on sale. I missed the last sale because I was indecisive and didn't pull the trigger so to speak.
And naturally, they've been taking their sweet time putting it on sale again. Cabela's had an exclusive deal on it, but it didn't come with all three chokes the standard one comes with, just one IC. Listing for $899 for the camo version up here. Sort of envy the cheaper American prices, but with the FX, I suppose there isn't a big difference...about $100. Still, I'd prefer to have that in my pocket. Back to waiting...maybe they'll do a Christmas sale. Or a March sale prior to the outdoorsmen show. |

And here I thought an alien like you would be thinking bigger is better...not something as small as a .44mag in a heavy rifle. Something....more like this: |

Now you're talking.
A slicked up, short stroked Uberti 1873 in .45LC is pretty much my favourite bang stick in my gun cabinet - love it. A recently deceased mate of mine had a Chiappa M92 Alaskan Take-Down in .44 Mag - that was quite impressive. One of these.... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IPMS8l5QiCg .

Every Marlin I've shot has been less than impressive (especially the post-Remington made ones) and other than the fact they are side eject so can fit optics, I don't know why people like them? Maybe the 5 or 6 I've tried were not representative?
Uberti, Rossi, Chiappa, Henry and even Winchester have all shot better than any Marlin I've shot.

We've got some Canadian sites that are similar, biggest one I'd say is canadiangunnutz.com. So I've been monitoring that carefully. And they are about $100-150 cheaper, but I've got no assurance on round count and I refuse to buy something sight unseen. I bought a rifle off that site, but only because it was local and I could go see it and inspect it for myself. All the people selling the Supernova (and there's only about 4 of them) aren't local. Closest is at least 6 hours away. But thanks for the suggestion, never hurts. |

At first glance, I thought it was a really weird looking futuristic pistol...

I'm still on a bunch of mailing lists for the online retailers and in a way I'm glad I'm not there because it keeps me from spending all that money, but man, firearms are crazy cheap at the moment. |

That's V Seven's 2055 lithium-aluminum tube. Really light but also super strong. I love V Seven stuff. That's their Titanium safety selector too. https://www.vsevenweaponsystems.com/...ne-buffer-tube
